LA Bayou Girl in Louisiana said: KSNIPER 777, I sent out a few emails today and got a response from a recruiter in Houston, just not from the right division. He told me that my husband's profile on the web site showed him to still be in Iraq working and that is why he has not been called yet. Now wouldn't that be great if he was in Iraq??? One thing is for sure I would not be spending hours on end of my time trying to help him get back over there if that were true. I went on the web site and everything on my end is like it is supposed to be. Do you possibly think they are looking at an old internal profile or something?????? I am confused for sure. The recruiter emailed me back a couple of times and said he was going to put it in the right hands. Anything you can think of would cause him to show up as an employee already????? I guess when he left HR did not close out his file or properly process his PAN. That does happen but at least they are getting it squared away and will make his return a positive. |

LA Bayou Girl in Louisiana said: He said he was going to pass it on to the right person. We swapped several emails. I don't think he would have bothered if he did not feel like it was worth his time. I have hopes that something positive is going to come of this. That has been my stand the last couple of weeks. Think positive!!!! Oh I know he wouldn't have contacted you if he wasn't serious about sending him back. All day long that's what those folks do. Good luck anyways, I am still applying my tail off! |

My friend and former coworker just went to iraq as a labor foreman. I have 20 years experience as a construction foreman and want to also go over seas (Iraq) to work. Can anyone provide some good insight as to how to gain employment with KBR. |

Good luck anyways, I am still applying my tail off! It did at least give us a ray of hope that we will hear from the recruiter that hires for logistics. I was about to give up hope of hearing from anyone at KBR. Could not imagine why we did not hear from them. I guess if they thought he was already there that would be a good reason not to call him. We are just going to keep applying now and hope to hear from the right recruiter soon. |

I hope that you are right about this being a positive step. The last few months have been very nerve racking and frustrating. He is just ready to go!!!! He is not used to being home and it is hard for him. |

From what I read...Dyn only allows one R&R stateside? Do they offer better pay or working conditions than KBR? I like the idea of 3 home R&R...what does it mean to stack? thanks!! |

I have tried to contact SEII (KBR's subcontractor overseas) to no avail. I have also tried to contact KBR customer service by email and phone, and no on can tell me who/where I need to send my inquires. I would hate to think I have been sitting at home all this time while applying for MANY jobs I am qualified for and can/have done, only to find out someone in HR made a paperwork error and they still have me classified as in country. kodiak570@yahoo.com |

Barbara, can you or any of the KBR recruiters out there please assist me? I was name requisitioned from the area manager of the "B" sites MWR recently, however it is my understanding that no name requisitions are being honored at this time. I have certain critical certs/experience that he expresses a need for so as to be in compliance with Govn't/Military regs. I have several recruiters names and numbers but not MWR.
(Barbara, you have recruited me in the past.) Please give this request your every consideration. Thanks |

AMY in Brooklyn, New York said: You did your background this Monday the 5th? Just go when you can and be certain to look at the job title when you sign the contract. In a recession, you have to be flexable. These recruiters get swamped at times and mistakes do happen but they are good about correcting them. |

Bob Denver in Rapid city, South Dakota said: hey whatsthegreenwirefor- If you want to work i would take what they offer and work 180 days and apply for an electrical job. There are not alot of positions for Electricans right now so if you are offered something other than a electrican's job they will offer it to someone else. If you have not recieved anymore information then that job that was offered to you has probably been offered to someone else and they accepted. It is very competitive right now and trying to demand the job you want is going leave you out in the cold. |

I also believe just because you are hired for one position does not mean you will have that position when you get there. My friend was hired for carpenter position and when he got to iraq he was told he would run the incinarator my other friend was hired as labor foreman and now hes a welder. |
