Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at KBR?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at KBR?

Wake up 5:30 am, go to the bath house (shower/shave) get dressed go to breakfast go to work, work till lunch, go to a quick lunch, go back to work till end of shift, do change over with night shift or stay late if work requires it, go to dinner, either go back to work if work requries it or go to the BX for a movie, go back to the B-Hut put in the movie, fall asleep during the middle of it. Wake up in the middle of the night (if I am not at work) turn off tv, get undressed go back to sleep till 5:30. Average day was about 12-14-18 hours a day, 7 days a week for 120 days straight till they kick you out of country for R&R.

Here's my take on the company culture. I have recently been informed that KBR's "new hire" electricians are not the only craft being hired in at significant pay increases from those already in Iraq and Afghanistan. Licensed HVAC and Licensed Plumbers are "apparently" being hired in at rates higher than the foremen they will be reporting to. It seems kind of wrong to treat the employees that have endured the heat, the cold, the bugs, the KBR BS, the mortars and rockets like that. Seems kind of like a slap in the face. Those in country are being told it is just an untrue rumor and the new hires are being not to tell anyone what they are making. Now that doesn't sound like the KBR I know and love.

So if you are a Licensed Plumber or Licensed HVAC and you absolutely can not go to work anywhere else in the world, apply at KBRJOBS.com Good Luck
