If they can't keep their help, that says a lot about management, the pay or the company as a whole...and it's not good. Just because they are always advertising the same positionw, week after week-I think I'll stay away. |

The guaranteed salary is very low for the position of Territory Manager, starting at only $14,000 per year, plus 2% commission and possible bonus potential. The hours they advertise (40-45 per week) is way off! If you are going to be a Territory Manager with Kellogg's you will work 7 days a week and a minimum of 60-70 hours, with some days being 12-16 hour days! When you break down the salary and hours you put in, you do the math. Part time merchandisers will only work approximately 1 hour per every $1,000 the Territory Manager sells. So if the Territory Manager sells $30,000, the Part Time Merchandiser will work up to 30 hours that week. Some weeks are less, some are more. Working for Kellogg's is not a bad job, but I believe their pay is very low for the amount of work and hours you put in. Their competitor, Nabisco (Kraft) Territory Managers start out at $36,000 per year guaranteed salary, no commission, but they do get bonuses. That is a huge difference between companies that do the same thing for the same positions! |

I was a Territory Manager for 7 years and you can expect to make in the mid 30's to mid 40's range. If you are working 60-70 hours per week, you need to sit down and manage your time/schedule more efficiently. This job will drive you in the ground if you do not learn time mgmt skills. |

The hours they allow are not enough for their demands. The ft sales reps load their stores on the weekend an expect the poor merchandiser to stock it. They moan and groan and are always complaining about the reps.pt,,This causes constant turnover nation wide.....they can never be satisfied. The company is always on the ft reps about using too many merchandising hours. |

Since Kellogg bought out Keebler, A lot of positive changes have taken place, They have stream lined the merchandising,to help everyone concerned, Under the old regime it was pretty uncomfortable for all concerned, I would highly reccomend working for the company ,, |

As I was looking up the average Salary for a TM in the State of Indiana it is 86K a year. What can I expect to get paid if I do accept the position? They say they also offer a company car and company gas. My intentions are to become a DM ( District Manager ) and want to know if kelloggs is the right company or if this position is right in order for me to make that happen. I can't live off of 14k a year and surly hope that is not what they are going to pay me. I'm trying to advance my career not move backwards |
