Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Kindred Healthcare?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

If your a COTA stay away from the Bakersfield, CA facility. They do concurrent or dovetailing at his facility and they will have you treating anywhere from 15 to 20 patients a day. They have a big Kaiser contract

all I have to say is that, so far, my experience with the Kindred Human Resource dip-sticks has been just that, as - they are soooooooooooooo stupid & inconsiderate

Ex-Kindred Sahara in Las Vegas, Nevada

Most of the therapy staff who had been there for a while left Kindred Sahara 6 months ago. Also, Kindred Flamingo has always experienced difficulties retaining therapy staff. People First (a Kindred subsidiary) "contracts" therapy staff to the Kindred Hospitals, so there's pressure on the rehab managers who pressure the therapists by asking them daily to justify and explain what they did / are doing. Therapists are expected to maintain regular productivity when orienting new employees. Who needs that? Also, the rehab manager at Sahara may have a problem with men, and tends to want to "show them who's boss."
