I HAVE BUILT MY LIFE AROUND Kindred, and i dont believe in my heart that it was UNFAIR to resign from my job. I know and believe that you know , what it is to be without the things that you are use to with your family. As gOD IS MY JUDGE, I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS NOT A PT IN THAT BED. Why didnt i GET A REPORT .You know that i AM A GOOD WORKER, a,clean about my work. i KNOW I HAVE FAULTS . But i would never be a liability to my employer.I AM SADDEN BY ALL THIS

Kindred/Peoplefirst... same company but one Kindred is Nursing division and Peoplefirst is Therapy division. Use to be Vencor until they filed for bankruptcy after PPS.

I've had some "experience" trying to get a job with Kindred in the Phoenix area.. Needless to say the female H.R. person was a dip-stick, and - so was the ding-dong pharmacy supervisor,, so -= stayed where I am at,, no need to go to Kindred that's for sure

Kindred is a VERY for-profit hospital and everything revolves around the almighty dollar. It's difficult to get used to if you are a nurse and put your patient's best interest first. They preach service excellence but that is not always the case. Talk to the workers already there if you can, before signing up!

Just to let you know, I haven't worked for Kindred, but my mother was in and out of Lake-Med in Painesville, OH. She was in their Rehab unit and they were very good to her. There were a few aids that were not on the ball too much, but for the most part it is like that in most places.
