I just got hired to work in the recieving department at Kmart and I was wondering if anyone could give me ideas on what to expect. Any helpful tips or suggestions? Any avice would be appreciated, Thanks!

Be ready to work long hours and get very little pay. I worked there before and it is boring. :()

Was it a hard position to learn?
I have worked in the recieving department at Dick's sporting goods before and was wondering if Kmart would be like that or if it is different?

I would suggest that you look for new employment. They want you to do the work of 6 for the pay of 1/2.

its brutal, but, at 9 bucks an hour, its the best paying department store around for people working in receiving.

Expect to be shifted around. You won't be in receiving all the time. They'll switch you around and people from Receiving tend to work all over the back in my store. Very few are dedicated to solely receiving.
