It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Kmart?

Any advice on striking the right note?

You tell them and sound convincing! Here is what you tell them--"I want to change the world, I want to help everyone who walks in find his/her solution!"

They will ask you things like, "how do you handle difficult customers, are you able to keep to deadlines, how have you dealt with difficult employees, give me an example of a time when you...." questions like that.
They are all about customer service, so make a point of that and also only bring up situations where you were in control of it and none of your bad points, but you should also make the point that regardless of the time you will always work hard to be the best for the company.
