Does anyone know what K Marts' LP policies are about stopping people once they get outside? I mean, if they have a runner, what does the store tell the employee do? What about detention?

Is every store different or do they have a set policy nation wide?

I used to work at this dump as an LPM. The policy was you CANNOT chase outside in to the parking lot. You can only detain the person in the area immediately outside of the doors to the store. They expected you to convince the person to come back inside with you to the LP office. As you can imagine, 99% of the people ran because they knew that you had to stop at the curb. Instant firing if you violated the policy.

You also cant touch anyone ,its hands off, and you cant stop people ticket switching,or refund fraud,or if they steal in the bathroom.you cant have any contact with a customer,even if they vandalize the store. you basically cant do anything ,unless you get special treatment,by your dlpm.
