Kohler / Baker Furniture runs ads for Quality Managers almost continually. I have qualifications to be a strong candidate for these positions and have sent them resumes several times. I have never been called. They have never even acknowledged receipt of the resumes.

They appear to be one of these companies that either never fills these positions, or the average life span of a QM there is about 45 days!

I got a reply back from them...I have 15 years of sales, sales management and account management and their reply was I should look at appling for different jobs other then sales because I am not qualified. Go figure.

I applied for a position in HR and they didn't have the decency or respect to acknowledge receipt of my resume except for an 'auto response' email.

I have worked in HR for 5+ years and I have always contacted all candidates that have applied for open positions.

Very disappointing for such an upstanding company.......

I used an idea in the past that helped with the resume receipt feedback. I enclosed a self-addressed stamped post card with the resume. The notation I put on the post card was the company name, a blank line for a contact, and “Yes, we received your correspondence.” You may get a contact and acknowledgement that they got your resume. Most firms at least returned the post card. Post card postage is slightly less than regular first-class. Bumps-up the cost of sending a resume, but its cheaper and simpler to registered mail. Worth the extra effort for certain positions at the top of your wish list.

Who knows more about the hiring process at Kohler? (excluding the info they have on their website). I was interviewed about 3 wks ago and still haven't heard from them. Does it mean yes or no, or may be? I also noticed that the position has been deleted from the joblist.

thank you.

Baker has had a position posted for 9 months now. I have the background and experience but can not obtain the phone interview. When I talk to HR they say I am highly qualified and they will have the HR hiring specialist contact me and so far nothing. Any suggestions?
