Discriminatory Practices of Labcorp

My boss practiced discrimination again and again. I did a pretty good job while working there but being of white european descent was minority status in my department. First he hinted for me to leave and then he made it so miserable after I ignored all of his hints, I left on my own. A former emplyee and friend who still works there told me he got his son in the company to do my old job. Not fair!!!

My manager's boss drove up from Louisville Kentucky one day, and demoted my manager in front of the entire department. My manager had been with the company for 29 years, the only employer he had ever had. He could have retired within one year. In the five years I worked for that company, I witnessed over ... and over ... and over... and over... again their discriminatory practices, particularly in the area of age discrimination. The joke was that if you were either just shy of being fully vested, or approaching retirement, you were a gonner with that company.

wow, i thought it was just the city i worked in that had this problem, but this is the 2nd time on this site that ive read about descrimination against whites at labcorp.

Unfair Treatment, Discrimination

It has been my experience that certain individuals with in this company have no regard for people's well-being or lively hood. I encourage all individuals who have had bad experiences with them whom feel they have been discriminated against, to please post their thoughts on this web site. It has also been my experience that certain management personel covers for only those they like. I feel some individuals for this company are corrupt and protect only certain individuals that they are close to and give promotions to those with less experience than others. I was recently terminated for "time card fraud". I have gone out of my way for this company, given "broken promises" by certain management in order to get me to go and "float" to different locations because of staffing issues. If you are a float; you are to get a $1.00 pay raise and receive mileage. For eight months I floated. Never received the raise, however, I did receive mileage which is a huge incentive. That's one of the reasons why I agreed to it. In the mean time two managers came and went. Talks with each one about the raise were ensued. Each one stating they would submit the paperwork to HR. A third manager came in again I brought up the same issue. Same thing. Yes, I need floaters, I will submit the paperwork. Never happened. Then a supervisor's position opened and I was encouraged by the new manager to apply as well as others were. My interview day arrived and I waited over an hour and this person never showed. I went to HR and asked if they could please call the manager because I had to get back to the office that I had been assigned to. HR called her and she stated OH, I forgot! What?? Because She had 4 call outs that day. You can't give me a courtesy phone call? Your a manager and you don't carry an organizer with your appointments in it? Anyway. I was recently sent to one of many LabCorp offices through a temp agency. I was treated like rudely, talked down to, all while I was doing all the draws. I made one complaint because you can only take so much. Needless to say I was told I could never go back to lab corp. Fine with me. but how can a company do that when there own employees file jobs apps, pay bills, hunt down boyfriends, all while the lobby is full and there is a wait time of 50 minutes. and I just did the work

I have been reading about the discrimination practices of labcorp. I was myself discriminated against and spoke up. I, obviously am a white male. Two days after complaining I was fired. I got a lawyer and sued. It was a very trying experience but I won. It feels good to win. After the suit was settled my immediate supervisor was fired. Oh well. Oh, and also the top dog manager of the wholelab is on her way out. Oh well.

Kompoltopollock, hope you read this soon. There is no end to your evil. One lie in addition to another like, in addition to another lie. When you lie to a judge you must realize that it will come back to haunt you. I really believe you have completely and totally given your soul over to the devil. Lying for reasons of not wanting to hear the truth, lying for reason to protect your own job, lying to EEOC reps. Do you think a Higher Spirit will not punish you for all those lies? You have gone beyond all of the beyonds. Can you not see the reason you were demoted? It is not others. It is you. When you experience great misfortune as a result of the bad karma you have sent out just remember it is a choice you made. You chose hate over love, vengence over fogiveness, spitefulness over kindness. There is a just God and he sees all we do. He will deal with you. You have asked for all you will get from him.

Just read your thoughts on Kompolto---- and I think I know who you are referring to. I saw her job advertised on indeed.com. She was the highest level manager in Livonia but has fallen from it because of her mismanaging and yes, like you say, lies. I think she got Labcorp in some trouble and has to leave her position and has gone mad because of it. Corky, when you say she lies you are right because she did that to me and then got me fired after working there nearly 25 years. Yes, I am sure you are right about the karma or "what goes around comes around." Talked to a former fellow employee who I am still friends with and she told me that C.K. is going from Livonia and they plan to make her life miserable. She will wish she had quit by the time they get done with her. The games have only just begun because anybody who works at Labcorp or has ever worked there knows how vindictive they are. Now that it has been one year and four months since they fired me I must say my life is a little more peaceful now. I do not make as much money but my wife makes really good money. I had to sell my classic Ford for a cheap price but we still have our house in Gibralter. My wife tells me everything happens for a reason. I miss some of the old comrades though. Susan L and I became pretty good friends. Yeah, whatever happens to C.K. she has brought on herself. I do not think I have ever seen a woman with so much anger in her. My wife told me she is angry from her past relationships with her ex husband and ex boyfriends and that is why she is so very mad and goes after any man with such a vengeance who crosses her.
