I have a face to face interview with Liberty Mutual for a Inside Property Claims Specialist. I am going to go to the interview but I am hearing awful things about Claims. Is the job even worth it?

I haven't heard very good things about claims either but was considering applying with Liberty Mutual. How did the interview go? Have you heard anything back?

I applied for the job and had a phone interview and a face to face interview. They went with someone else because of experience. That may be a blessing in disguise. The way I was told is it is hard work and you will put in long hours but its a stepping stone. The one red flag I got from the phone interview was working weekends if needed. I usually take that as you will work most weekends.

Was your interview for a Liberty Mutual or Safeco job? I know they have both in Georgia. Also what kind of background do you have? I'm just trying to get an idea of what they're looking for. Your help is much appreciated Jim!

Safeco. Really it looked like they wanted someone with a little experience in insurance and a lot of customer service skills.

LM is a very good company to work for and there benefits package is amazing. Most inside staff adjusters don’t work weekends or holidays, but independents work every day to assist LM with the claim volume. Once the claim volume has been lowered to a level where the inside adjuster can handle the claims, then the independent adjusters are released and all outstanding claims are transfer to staff adjusters. Staff adjusters make great money depending on their experience, but new staff adjuster are highly sought after as they will accept a lesser pay than adjuster with more experience. The range is $45k-65k depending on experience. This is why liberty spends a lot of time training and investing new tools to make the work load easy for its staff adjusters. Take the job and the money they offer and don't negotioate as they will hire someone else not so greedy. Liberty is one of the best insurances companies to work.
