There is no starting salary, it is a commission based job, with bonuses maybe. You call on clients at their homes or business and you use your on car and there is no money for that it's all on you. Perks, special treats, No, No, NO |

If you will look to start with a captive company, they really are at the bottom of the food chain. You can see some personal reports about then in the forum at www.insurance-forums.net |

That's not entirely true, because there is a way for you to receive a paycheck every week, many insurance companies use a similar system. You should do more research. Our bonus program is weekly where many companies are monthly. It is not hard to bonus with our company, two policies a week will get you there. As far as using your own car and phone, yes you do, but there is a tax break on your first check every month if you turn in your report. We also have incentive programs and special trips twice a year for the top producers in the company. All expenses paid for you and one guest. |

Former BM for LNL in Southeast 43 months ago |
I worked with LNL for 7 years, ending as the Branch Manager for my final 2.5 years. Unfortunatley, every negative thing i have seen on this site is true. We were constantly instructed by the Regioanl Directors to lie to recruits about income and training. I couldnt take it anomore, so many people came to work for me expecting one thing and got something totally different. This company is a scam...a pyramid scheme if you will. This goes all the way to the President, who on several occasions lied to all of us Branch Managers about our own income. I quit this company 1.5 years ago and i still have a bad taste in my mouth for what they asked me to do and what they did to me. I wish i could apologize to everyone i had to lie to. <Edited by Host: Personal attack removed> They are both still employed as far as i know. |

Wow, it's amazing how good this company is at brainwashing these people into think "the money will be in the NEXT paycheck... we promise!" It is never in THIS paycheck. In fact, most employees spend most of their money on future earnings that never come. And on a side note, your company is one of those that goes door-to-door from singlewide-to-singlewide convincing broke individuals with spending problems that they can afford this life insurance. And on top of that, your life insurance is some of the most expensive in the industry! I have done the research and you cannot fool me! |

You should do more research. You must be kidding me!!! The most common policy sold from your company (according to statistics) is an accident policy that costs $11/month. You have to sell 7 of those each week to make the bonus. And can anyone name other companies with a weekly bonus schedule? What happens when you want to go on vacation? (Answer: You have to make double the sales the week prior and wait to submit the applications until the week of the vacation. Sounds a bit fishy, huh?) And these trips are just cheap trips with lots of liquor. Nothing even worth the time. And the week of the trip, you still have to meet your quota, so everyone gets REALLY stressed out. Don't let this company fool you! There is a reason why the office looks like a trailor-park!!! Find a reputable company, please! Don't make the same mistake as I did! |
