What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does Liz Claiborne stack up against the competition?

Yes, I think they are going to survive and thrive.
They have great brands, and by cutting back on the losers they will create more $ for developing the winners

The company has been very, very good to me.
Even though I worked in Facility Management, in early 90's, I got them to send me to College for FINANCE!
Then of course if anyone else wanted to do that, as a Manager and later Director, I would XXXX them,
hell NO!

The companies great if you are Director or above.
Otherwise you are a poor slob.
We work the hell out of you, in other words, drain you, burn you out -minimum 10 hour days, as stated above.
Then get rid of you like a used condom.
Not so when you are upper crust like me, Joe Monahan, North Bergen NJ,
If you guessed it, yes, MY blank does NOT STINK.

I am a finance major and highly interested in the Summer Internship Program 2008 which is offered at the Headquaters in NY. I´d like to know if there are any chances for a non U.S. citizen to be considered ? Is the Finance Internship with Liz Claiborne worthwhile ? What about the interview ? I would very much appreciate any comments. Thank you.
