Looking for work information on the Electronics Telecommunicaions department with RF.

This is in response to a vets job fair I went to a few weeks ago. A rep for LM only said "Ah, RF. I've heard of you guys" during the 10 minutes I talked to him for possible job prospects that didn't get very far. My background in the USAF as a 1N251 covered digital and Morse data interception through use of modems and antenna manipulation. I have had a background investigation done, however that TS/SSBI expired in '09. I will be finishing my Electronics Telecom AS degree in the next year and am looking for ANY entry level position open. Would anybody have more information as to what area I would be best suited for?
