Hi, Im not sure if this is a real issue, but I wanted to verify.

Today I submitted for a position in Marietta, GA. I uploaded my resume as I applied for the position and completed the application. I then went into the Resume/CV Manager and clicked the "View Submissions" section and confirmed that resume was submitted to that job.

Heres where the confusion sets in...
I edited the resume for a quick fix and reuploaded it. Now, the History/View Submissions link states:
"This resume/CV has not been submitted to any jobs"

Does that mean the original resume dropped from the application since I removed and updated it in the Resume/CV Manager section? Or is the updated resume now attached, even though it states its not.

My goal is to make sure my updated resume (the only one I have uploaded) is associated with this job, and not the old one.
Does this make sense?
Matt

Hi Matt,

Your best bet would be to resubmit your revised resume for the position, just to be on the safe side. No harm can come from applying to the same job twice, and if there is a record of the previous resume that you submitted, the Kenexa Brassring software that LM recruiters use will simply show the new information as additional information. I don't think that it's possible for you to delete the previous resume, but don't worry, it's very common to see job seekers with several revisions when they've applied to multiple positions over time.

For more information on how Brassring works, you might want to check out my e-book, "How to get hired by Lockheed Martin" on Lulu.com. Good luck!

Thanks for your help Bob,
Unfortunately I tried to resubmit but it said I already did and cant double-submit.
I wish I could know if the old resume is attached to my application, or if my new updated one is.

Earlier this year LMCO flew me up to Maryland from Atlanta to interview, and unfortunately I didnt get the job. The recruiter told me afterwards that it was between me and another candidate, which made me feel better about it. So this is round two for me, and Im eager to interview for a second time.

I personally wouldn't sweat it, but if it's really concerning you then go ahead and create another account and re-submit so you can have some peace of mind. While you're at it, be sure to set up a search agent for similar positions so you don't miss out on any future opportunities!
