Lowe's

I have worked at Lowe's for almost two years. If you don't expect too much, you won't be disappointed. Sometimes I am the only one in my department (closing) and I will be asked to assist in another department or unload the truck. I get along with most of the people I work with and enjoy their company when I am there. Sometimes the work can be monotonous and sometimes it is a bit unpleasant (having to use the gas-powered leaf blower in outside seasonal to blow the leaves and dirt under and out past the fence.) I wanted to work full-time but I cannot get regular or predictable hours and the kids still need me to get them where they need to go
and I might not get an additional raise above and beyond what I would get for being at the store for two years. I worked in an office 20 years ago and if I was full-time, I would be making less money full-time at Lowe's that at that job! I like most of my managers, except the store manager is a bit aloof and unapproachable; I would say he's better talking to groups than one-to-one, unless you are a manager. It is retail after all, but probably better than some (including Target, Wal-Mart and Bob's Stores) as far as wage but not as good as Aldi ($12.01 for starting wage for a cashier). I have gotten a bot more than a dollar raise in the nearly two years I have worked for Lowe's.

I think lowes is awful. They're unhelpful, rude, and they steal money from hard working individuals. Do not work for them, do not shop at their stores. If you ever have a problem they will not help you in anyway, they will BS you and have you run in circles. I have dealt with numerous store managers, district, regional, and corporate. They refuse to give me MY money, my hard earned american dollars. They're a disgrace, and I will let everyone know.
