I worked for Lowes for 19 months and after experiencing the frustrations day after day and b/s promises I finally blew to the point where I was fired. Dont assume that just because I was fired is why I am seem so angered. To the contrary, I have found so much relief that I am no longer there. Unfortunately, I got fired before I could find a new job. I found everything, from the upper management to the associates and customers to human resources to be completely un professional. They lied about what they offered their employees concerning pay benefits, and so forth. Their responses to every day questions were inconsistant, and I also found that some of what they did was borderline discriminative. Good luck. After this you can always apply to lowes online or go to a store near you . You may not hear from them for 5 to 6 weeks though. |

The new Lowes stores are built by Lowes employees (other than the shell), so you can go to that location and ask for the HR manager. |

I have a very extensive HR background. I applied had an interview for the HR Manager position at a new Lowes store. It was the first interview I had had in over 15 years. I went to the final interview and blew an answer. An easy one, just that the question through me off, it should not have. I made several other mistakes at the interview (and from an HR guy). Well I quickly became good, and know exactly what blew it for me. It has been over a year and I still agonize over how bad I did. I want so bad to at least explain to the hiring manager and/or the District Hr Rep who I really am, why I would be the very best person they could hire for this position. What should I do? |
