Manpower Professional is one of the most unethical companies I know of, right up there with Xerox and United Health Care. MP hired my husband as an IT Senior Software Engineer contractor for Xerox. They even sent him to school in Rochester, NY in order to get ready to do a huge project, then, when Xerox changed it's IT direction two months later, suddenly, they laid my husband off. Well, contractors are used to that, but not the way they did it: He was driving home from work on Friday and they called and told him not to come to work on Monday, due to budget cuts. Didn't give him any advance notice, and never gave him any of his personal belongings from the office. Three months later, after Xerox changed it's mind, they called and wanted to rehire him! Needless to say, he told them "No", not necessarily that nicely, either. Run Forrest, Run! |

Most of the ads are bogus,,,,if you see it posted to Careerbuilder or Monstor it's probably standing job order (that most every other search firm in your area is working or it's a repost of the ad a copy had posted.) MPP usually gets to the party way too late and in anything but a professional manner |
