I can't stand it when employers or agencies continuously renew their ads. This makes their ads show up every day as a new posting, and I have to mill through all of the old crap over and over again. If you aren't truly a new posting, stop renewing your ad!!!!

The "Logistics Export Control Administrator" ad has been renewed dozens of times over the past 3 months. There is no way this is a real position. |

I most certainly hate ads where the client spends 3 paragraphs tooting their own horn and then begin generalising about job resposibilities. |

The job posting for a Controller in Archbold, OH is a PERFECT example of what you are talking about. They have renewed it daily for over a month, and the text of the ad talks about wearing proper safety equipment, etc. These people are idiots. |

Right on Man!!!!!!!!!! I feel the same damn way and it's because these recruiters / companies really don't intend to interview anyone at this time ,,,,, just collecting resumes . just wasting my time . just dashing my hopes .

The add isn't being "re-posted" daily it is being fed directly to Indeed (and other sites) through an XML feed...similar to an RSS feed. Unfortunately XML and RSS feeds are either on OR off. For websites that change often, this isn't a problem. For those that are more static it can seem a redundant. |

Then how do you explain the adds that keep changing there posting dates on Dice, Monster and Careerbuilder? Look, everyone knows what's going on, and who the main offenders are. Some recruiters do waste job candidates time with fake interviews and the unending collecting of resumes when there is no job.Period. The solution is to stop doing business with companies that force recruiters to do that. For example, there's almost never a reason to interview in person with a recruiter in today's market. I know recruiters who have confirmed that recruiters who want you to come into their office for an interview are filling a quota, and probably don't have a job for you.A senior recruiter told me that. It's really horrible the games that are being played. |

If a company repeats its ads it makes them seem shady.I dont know about you but there are better ways of spending my time. Most good recreuiters work for smaller firms. They work harder for you, more direct attention to your search and if its a temp job they will usually pay more because the overhead is less. These agencies dont practice repeat ads as part of there business plan. They rely on quality service not quantity. By the way I am NOT a recreuiter but do deal with them on a regular basis.I hope this helps. Good luck to all of you! |
