If they DO find a job for you they take %25 right off the top. I would not even work for a company that uses these idiots.

Manpower is down right nasty, no pay raises and even though it says in the employee handbook that if you work 1800 hours in a year you get a 40 hour paid vacation ...lies. You get nothing but the hourly rate that was negotiated at the time of hire. You are not allowed to apply for other Manpower jobs and health insurance is downright despicable, 10K maximum coverage. Heck my last visit to the hospital was 27K for something called cryptosporidium that I got from some Publix shrimp.

No , every job I see from them is very low !!!! They keep the standard of pay low !!! They are a contributor to the low pay . Isee jobs they are offering say $11.00 hr when a company hiring directly will pay $14.00. Manpower only does the leg work for the companies , therefore paying less

Noneofyourbusinessindeed in Noneofyourbusinessindeed, Alaska said: What I understood from the Recruiter is that you have to work more then 1880 hours(+- 10 months) to get pay for any holiday.

The medical you have to pay something.

Manpower will cover $6.76 of the weekly premium for all enrolled employees who maintain a minimum of 100 hours per month. Also beware of special agreements or contracts that local Manpower affiliates use to preclude the payment of benefits like holidays or vacations. This exclusion is in fine print in the company handbook.

Hello,
Does anybody know any email address, ideally from the headquarters, where I could report Manpower's unlawful dismissal of a pregnant woman?
Thank you in advance!

Well I have had my own issues with Manpower ! Not only was I degraded for not accepting a job, because I didn't have money to relocate; but they also tried getting me kicked off unemployment and the threat was real!!!!! Sad thing is that I considered the job and even looked up homes to move. Glad now I didn't follow through! I need employment not the hassles!!!!! The Lord say's to bless those who curse you, Bless and do not curse!!! So Bless you Manpower! And thanks for the degrading! I'll remember you when you become my footstool!!!

You all are a bunch of whiny chumps, no one made you work for manpower and no one will. For some people, companies like manpower are vital for younger inexperienced type. If you feel entitled to more, get your sorry butts off a forum and do something about it besides complain off a keyboard. What if you wanted to try a different field of work? Can't just hop into anything with no experience most the time, so take advantage of the experience if anything and stop being pessimistic. Some people would KILL for those jobs!!!!

They kept giving me jobs that were too far from me. I live in Hesperia, CA so why would you try to give me a job in Torrance, CA. Then when I wanted to resign the lady got pissed off at me. It wasn't my fault that the company was not really helping me. But, I remained respectful and decided to never work for them ever again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

They gave me a false job description. Said I'd be working 8-12 hours per day. Turns out it was only 4 hours per day.

started with manpower because I had searched high and low for a job. nothing kept me employed for more than a few weeks. I got fed up and went to a staffing agency (manpower). started me out at 15.50/hr it was easy work but so hard to pay my bills. within 2 weeks I had asked the rep at manpower about a pay raise because the work was becoming more involved. he negotiated with the client and was able to get me up to 17 an hour. this was fine for another two weeks until I decided that I was just not getting ahead. emailed him explaining my stress and sure enough got me another raise to 19/hr. I've now been with the company for 4 months now and I'm waiting for them to buy me out so that I can cut out manpower. they charge the client around 30/hr for my services because they obviously have to make money in their business. I should be hired on relatively soon at a rate of no less than 25 an hour. they have been rather good with me I belI've it all depends on how hard your agent works for you. I had to out work 5 other manpower employees for my position so maybe your work ethic needs to change and focus on the bigger picture.

This sounds all too familiar but not just Manpower. I get several e-mails on a daily basis but it really only amounts to harassment. The recruiters in my IT field are just to lazy to do any real work but use scanning software to generate emails and expect me to do the screening. None of the agencies that I have worked for have any interest in my needs and or my continued employment. No they are known as Headhunters and have no self respect or dignity and their only interested in their client's interest.

At my current job, Manpower charges $17.00/hr. For a company to have me on heir staff. However, I'm only being paid $10.00/hr. On the plus side, I do like my job very much. It would just be nice to be paid the $11-13/hr. Which I requested.

I worked as an associate for manpower starting pay at $16 at sears, then they transferred me to work for manpower.

It actually isnt a joke. It depends on the recruiter. For 1; if you're working at a company 6+Months or more, you should have been hired on instead of being a temp. Your recruiter should have contacted the client if they have decided to hire you on because what is the purpose of you still working 6+ as a temp for the same company?

If you apply at our clients site, they dont want to be the one to loose wages. such as unemployment or if you claim an injury, those employers dont want to pay for it that's why they need us.

It is a contract between employers and candidates. The purpose for us is to get you to work as a temp and if you are a long term, then you should be hired on. There is no purpose for you to work with us when youve been working at a job site more than 6 months.

Also we focus on the candidate experience; meaning we ask you what are the wages that you are comfortable working with. If you do not like the wage that these employers offer then so be it, we will refer you to staffing agencies. We dont force you to work at 11.00 / hr and we take $3-5 dollars from you. You have decided to work that 11$/hour and the agreement for having a contract with you is 3-4$. Human resources at an employer may not even have the time to source when he or she managing 500-10,000 employees on a daily basis.

Another great thing about us is that we are world wide. Manpower works with clients all over the world from Europe to Brazil to Philippines.
