Q1:I recently spoke and interviewed with manpower in grand rapids, Michigan. I brought in my resume and everything needed, originally applying for a position in industrial, but in midst of the interview they recommended i apply with clerical as well, so i interviewed with a fellow named Brian, he seems keen on getting me a customer service position and told me he would be in touch via e-mail as well as calling me within the next two days but he never did. should i contact him? i was not given any direct contact information for/from him, but i can call the branch and get that information im sure.
Q2: while interviewing i was offered a position at Amway which i am taking currently, Orientation is Monday. The issue though is that was not told about drug screening for the position, and am unaware of what type of drug screening is done at manpower. Anyone able to enlighten me on what type of drug testing they do with/for Amway? and who does the testing for manpower? Im sure it is outsourced? any particular lab or clinic manpower uses?
Also, just for the record everyone on this website complaining about not getting a manpower position, No one cares about your bias opinion, take responsibility for your poor interviewing skills and improve them, im sure the recruiters turn down at least about 60% of applicants in this area because of their clothing or mannerisms. Use your head, your not going to get a job if you would rather be at home smoking pot and collecting unemployment.
Michigan has one of the highest unemployment rates if not the current highest, and I was able to get a job by working with said "recruiters" and being POLITE!(within a 3 day span at that!)
Leave your IGNORANCE AT THE DOOR, and dont smoke befor your interview.
