With all the hard work that LMT's do out in the field you would think that places such as Massage Envy, that cater to the general public, would have a hygenie and etiquette policy in place to ensure the overall health and well being of the therapists and the clients. Therapists at these establishments have been subjected to working on people who are unwashed, foul smelling because they are unbathed or who have certain skin conditions which pose a threat to the general health of the practitioner (ie ringworm, poison ivy etc). Therapists at Massage Envy Fear refusing to work on these clients for fear of being seen as "discriminating" as if they are refusing to work on them because of race religion creed or sexual preference. This is a travesty and something should be done about it to ensure general health and cleanliness of therapists and clients. Most spas do not have this problem because they have the facilities necessary for clients to bathe because they are there to relax and get treatments which require them to be clean(just common sense) Massage Envy and places like it do not have the facilities for clients to shower if they need to so wouldnt it be practical and professional for them to require that guests and members be clean before they get on the therapists Table?

As for What Therapists Get paid At Massage Envy. When you are first starting out in the career and you are just out of school with minimal experience then Massage Envy is a good stepping stone. If you are a Veteran struggling to work then this place will be a test if anything of just how humble you can be with getting a real crappy wage.
