As a massage therapy student seeking information about the opportunities available, I would like to find out if there are any clauses in the ME paperwork that states you are not allowed to retain clients should you no longer work at their facility. I'm not looking to "steal" their customers. I do believe that there is a relationship between a massage therapist and his/her patients. Just like you wouldn't want to start psychological therapy with a therapist who works for you and then switch to someone else, I believe people prefer to stick with one massage therapist. I'm aware that people who choose to sign up for plans are generally stuck paying for the remainder of their contract, but what about people who DON'T sign up. If they have no ties to ME, are they free to see a therapist who once worked there? Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks!
