Why you should not work at massage envy.

Massage Envy is a horrible place to work for. Managers do not care about you, they just think of you as a work horse making them more money and increasing THEIR numbers. Half of them have never even received a massage before working for the company. You tell them you can only do 3 in a row then need a break, then you end up having 4 in a row with only a 30 min break and 2 more 90 mins after that. I wish my fat ass manager would get back there and see how they feel after doing that 5 days in a row. Bottom line if you are a LMT and are considering working for ME dont do it!!! Save yourself and your body so you can continue your career for many more years to come. Plus! The best part..... you only get paid 16 dollars for an hour massage no matter what kind of massage it is, which is a huge insult to any LMT out there. This place should be punished and put under.

Wow, this is my story EXACTLY. I've been forced to do 4 in a row because the front desk is too stupid to realize what the numbers next to my name mean. 3/6 means I do 3 in a row 6 in a day. It disgusts me that they dont get it, nor care to get it. I wish for one day I could switch places with them so they understand how it feels to do 4 deep tissues in a row and then have a 30 minute break. Oh and by the way brainiacs... if you do two 90 minute massages in a row.. that means you're doing 3 hours worth of massage.. so don't book a 3rd massage. It's unbelievable.

As former management at Masage Envy, I have to say that it is definately the worst company to work for. The turnover is insane and the pay that they offer is not even close to fair market. DO NOT WORK AT MASSAGE ENVY!!!!!
