Do you work at Mastech? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in? |

I have an account at salesladders.com and was contacted by their management. Do not have the job yet - still interviewing |

I have never received a reply from this company. These ads are for jobs that do not exist. |

I was contacted by a woman with a VERY heavy Indian accent stating that she'd viewed my profile on Monster...when I went to return her phone call, I realized that she was calling me from Pennsylvania. I live in Texas. The client is located in Houston, although I can't imagine why they'd contract a company in a totally different part of the country. To top things off, Mastech appears to be in the I.T. industry...the role I was contacted about is clerical one. I can't get much information from the staffing consultant because I can't understand a word she says! |

I can't get much information from the staffing consultant because I can't understand a word she says! UPDATE: I'm preparing for my interview on Monday when the phone rings. A woman with the client company tells me that the interview has been cancelled due to their project falling through. She then asks me if I'm already there. My interview wasn't for another hour, so thank goodness I was still home. She assured me that they'd keep my information on hand in the event that a similar position became available...Five minutes later, Dinistha with Mastech calls to wish my luck on my interview. When I inform her of the previous call, she assures me that inteview is still a go, and that she hadn't heard anything about a cancellation. She tells me that she'll call me back. She calls back and repeats exactly what I'd said, and goes on and on about how she'll consider me for future jobs. WHATEVER! Very, very weird. This company has also had some class-action discrimination suits by American nationals! Google them. |

Ouch...I don't share that sentiment, but if anyone from this company contacts me again, they will be politely dismissed! Since then, I've had another "national IT staffing company" sending me e-mails. They too, are in a totally different part of the country staffing for positions in Houston. Seems shady, and I'm not interested. But yes, IT as well and just about any other customer service call-center role is turning into an outsourced circus. Just try calling your credit card company. Sheesh! |

This company isnt very good. when people call you from other areas it may be for a job in your area. but that is just another way this company wastes money. i was employed there and i had a team of recruiters in india that are useless. i was so bored that i told my boss to let me do my own recruiting and he told me to focus on client visits. it was so dumb because i would visit clients and tell them we would produce resumes but then these idiot recruiters never produced them for me. since its mostly an Indian company, it is very sexist. women dont get much attention. |

by attenion i mean if my male colleauges had job orders that need worked on, if i had more, or higher paying jobs, it didnt matter. i was a second priority. but when my male coworkers had a higher paying job order i would get bumped for them. |
