Do you work at Medco Health Solutions? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in? |

Very interested in a response to this question. Any Medco folks out there willing to share the answer? |

This is what I know from Medco in Franklin Lakes, NJ. I interviewed with the IT Manager and IT Director of the department. The IT Director and I discussed a yearly salary and we both came to an agreement. I received a call from their HR recruiter and he offered me 3G's less. I informed him that the Director and I discussed another amount...His response was "I am unaware of this dollar amount". Well to make a long story short, I declined the position and the recruiting firm was furious....I told them I wasn’t happy with the amount. The recruiting firm asked why I did not tell them this was a problem. I replied I did not want to start with a new company and be labeled a "Sour Milk" employee. |

Host said: Do you work at Medco Health Solutions? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? no to discourage you but the possibilities of getting a job at Medco are very poor. Basically, you have to know somebody inside to get in. The company is full of relatives, I even know about people that have hired their own kids (even wives), and they hold very good position. On the other hand the turn over of people in the different plants is very high. The environment is tense and hypocrital. Top management is reclusive to an area where nobody can get in touch with them much less to talk to them. Is a mafia with poor consideration to customer much less to employees but unfortunatly they have a product that is a gold mine...drugs. The turn over is very high too. People is very unsatisfy...they also play the system very well, they have key position full with minorities but with poor power to change, the reality is they are also a very sofisticate racists MF and play the "look" very well (inside they think worst than NAZIS). DO NOT WORK FOR MEDCO OR BUY THEIR SERVICES. |

I worked for Medco a lot longer than I should have. Management was okay, but the Human Resources Department is where the biggest problem. The HR Director is in a word...horrible. If you ever get the chance to see FX series Damages watch the main character played by Glenn Close. The HR Director at Medco makes that character look like a rank beginner. I do realize though that it is TV and supposed to be fiction. In the real world though books could be written about her. She intimidates and terrorizes her staff and management. I should know I served under her. I had enough after a year (basically, I came to my senses) and resigned. No one could ever pay me enough to go back to work for that company again. |

They are opening a new facility here in Indianapolis. They did the groundbreaking, but they haven't opened yet. You former employees with these bad reviews - do you think it was the location you worked at? Or the company as a whole? Maybe this new location with all new employees could be different? I'm asking because I've been applying there. |

I work for Medco, I started out as a Prescription Benefit Specialist and I now train classes. For the branch I worked for it was reletively easy to get in. You must pass a drug screen and go through an interview, which mine personally was reletively basic. Base pay was $9/hr at the site in AZ (depending on the area of the country you work in, also based on skill, and experiance level) Since this was a newer location starting up, the good news in there was more oppertunity for advancement. It was the easiset job I've probably ever had. Very simple work |

Material is scripted for the Customer Service positions, it is very simple. Just have to have basic CS for the most part. At the location where I worked, it was not too difficult to move up the ladder, there was some good opportunity for advancement. |

Please don't take this the wrong way, but that seems like a low rate of pay. Did you feel it was fair? |

I applied for a customer service representative position and scheduled an interview with the HR department, got through one more interview and the skills test. The minute the hiring supervisor walked into the room, she hesitated to shake my hand. Once we proceeded to her office and the interview started the rudeness began. She would ask an interview question, without direct eye contact and wrote down my replies. She glanced at my resume once again; this lasted for about two minutes. Finally she asked do you have any questions for me, I replied yes do you think I make a good candidate for this job. She answers with a rude voice “yes” but I do not make that decision, HR will call you in 3-5 days. The interview ended and we proceed to the lobby. I offered my hand to thank her; again she hesitated and directed me to return my visitor badge to the security guard. As I was walking out she stated “GOOD LUCK” I knew from the start she dislike me, but that did not change my positive attitude. I will take this as a learning experience and her unprofessional attitude represent the company’s profile. NOT WORTH IT!!! |

Do you have any contact information for the new facility? I've applied for four different positions there and have not heard anything. Do you happen to have a contact number or name of an HR person I can contact for feedback? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...... |
