It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Mesaba Airlines?

Any advice on striking the right note?

I was at an open house for Mesaba two weeks ago. There were about 12 people in the class. The only ones who were asked to stay for short interviews were those WHO ASKED QUESTIONS in the information class. If you are asked to stay the first question is "Why do you want to be a flight attendant for Mesaba"? They will then ask you questions concerning things you have put on your resume. They are very nice people.

The pay starts out at $15.00 something per flight hour which translates to about $17,000 per year.....pretty low, but standard for the regionals.

the pay starts out at $15.08 an hour
this rate however, doesn't start until the door on the plane is sealed. when you check into the airport, your Per Diem pay will start, and pays you $1.35 hourly until you are back to your home base. F.A. are guaranteed 75 flight hours a month, which is about $1,131 a month, bi-weekly. Average yearly income is $17,000, working the minimal 75 hours a month. You can work more, the just promise you 75 a month, but won't schedule you for more than 98 a month. You can however work more if you so wish. Honestly, they are really nice people, go to the meeting, take notes, pay attention, make eye contact smile and be out going, you'll be fine. there are some in MN in august, check it out on this website.

Just make sure when you go to the interview that you have a good driving record! Too many speeding tickets within five years will make you unable to fly with Mesaba. I think you cannot have more than three offences within five years.
