What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does Microsoft stack up against the competition? |

Microsoft is the Spawn of the devil- and the culture they have created within their prison walls has corrupted their employees. After being an employee at Pro Sports Club and catering to primarily Microsoft employees, I eventually threw in the towel after 5 years. Needy, rude, unrealistic, whiney, and just plain evil. Even my friends who work for the company talk about how embarassed they are when they go out to eat with their groups because the other employees are so pushy and rude to the waiters. The interesting this is that once people leave the company, they totally change. It's just the atmosphere of being behind walls where you are constantly told YOU are the best, YOU work for the best, NEVER say NEVER, DONT accept NO for an answer- but the reality is that microsoft isn't the best anymore, and they have grown to be so large that when they try to make a change it takes too long and they can't keep up with the trends. Sorry- but they are fading and fast...... |

Microsoft is a pretty mature company now (in fact it has dominated the software world), so there're not a lot of rooms for career advancement. But it is stable and the benefits are greawt. - Eric
