I am a recent employee of Moguldom Media Group and I really don't have anything positive to say about them. I am not a disgruntled employee but rather someone who was quite naive in thinking I could expand on a promising career with this joke of a company.
My time there was less than 6 months. I was told through an employment agency that I had been hired as a writer because this is where my skill set and experience matched with what the company was looking for. The first day I went to work for them, I was confused as to what my job title was much less what my duties were going to be. I did some very VERY basic advertising for this company that was tedious, redundant and boring. to be honest, I could have trained my 12 year old nephew to do this job.. The job was well beneath my skill sets and while there, I found myself bored for the remaining hours in my shift.
For months I had asked them for more job responsibilities and the response I would get was, "Oh we'll let you know if we have any other responsibilities you can do"... This annoyed me to no end. I was sitting there doing nothing on most days.
I was then "benched" for a week and eventually told that I would have to wait a few more weeks for a full time opportunity until they could figure out where I would be a good fit. Low and behold, I was let go because they claimed there was no "official position" they could offer me. The agency was upset with them for doing this to me. They stuck up for me and I w as happy they saw my potential. On top of that, one of their best guys was FIRED because he DARED to attempt resignation with the company. I guess the CEO's ego was not having any of that chit! So he told the guy adios! Bottom line is, the company is disorganized, back handed, dishonest and not a good place for anyone young in particular looking to get their feet wet in the Marketing and Advertising field. Run if you see any job ads from them. Chances are, you won't make it past probation...
