As a cashier they usually start out at $8 or $8.50 I believe. Assistant Managers it varies. some start out at $11.00 a hour could be more. Either way you get a .25 raise after a month and then after 120 days you get another .25 cent raise. After that your raises are yearly based on your anniversary of when you were hired. Store Mangers get 80% commission every month and assistant managers get 20% commission.
There is health care, but it does not meet Obama care standards so do not waste your time. The company does not care about their employees. All they care about is sales and the customers. The customers are always right even when they are yelling in your face calling you all different types of profanity over some cigarettes.
There are contests every week where hourly employees can win prizes, but upper management makes these contests not fun at all. They constantly bombard you and ask you why you aren't selling enough and if the numbers are low you never hear the end of it.
As an hourly employee it is not worth it. The company only cares about the higher ups and it shows. Hourly employees are disposable.
Some perks are paid vacations, and the tuition reimbursement (80%).
