What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Nationwide Insurance?

What do you like best about working at Nationwide Insurance? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

Nationwide's base for external sales candidates is approx $50k, plus incentives based on new case counts, new producers grown, managed accounts sold and old/new money basis points paid (varies on the size of the territory), expense budget, car lap top, phone etc. The management team is very good and committed to retirement plans, but changes in upper management and in TPA/operations seems to have made the position a bit more difficult. A consulting firm has attempted to help with the sales process in all product lines, but the process misses the mark on several accounts.

I worked for Nationwide from 2000 to July 2008 as a claims Rep.
I had 16 years prior claims experience. Nationwide is by far the
worse Company I ever worked for. The managers are conceited, arrogant, rude and are micro managers to the 1oth degree.

I was fired after 8 years from Nationwide, because I don't play
politics and I am not an ass kisser!! Stay away from Nationwide!!!
