rock on recruiters! in Garland, Texas 57 months ago	The requisition can not officially be closed until the hired candidate has shown up for the first day of work. The candidate is usally given a conditional job offer until all the pre-employment process is complete. That means the job advertisement remains visible, sometimes on job boards, but most likely on the career center of the company. The airline industry requires specific background checks (which can take 2 or 3 weeks to complete), medical testing (maybe 3-4 days) and if the position requires USPS postage handling, the candidate has to get fingerprinted, which is usally out of state). Are they just targeting certain city? Their was a add in the Kansas City Star posting Flight Attendants, I responded to the call and was ask to do a phone interview, I understood, they were very please. I applied online they asked to do a background check then they emailed me to schedule a phone interveiw. I really want to do this right. They will let u know by email if u passed the phone interview and after that is your face to face interview and if u have the job they will offer employment after the interview. Mike 51 months ago	Hey you all..Good luck. My background check took less than two weeks. I had to help supply some information but the lady who did it was great. It takes about a month later for them to call and offer you the class. I didnt know NWA was hiring again. My recruiter said it would be May. Thats great. Gina Billings in Muskegon, Michigan 51 months ago	I had my phone interview with a NWA recruiter at 11.40 am and a few minutes later I received the email saying I successfully passed the phone interview and will be notified of a F2F interview. The recruiter told me right after the interview thati made it and will have to go for my face to face as soon as a date opens up since they dont have one open right now. Good feeling. I was so calm and collected and I think i answered the questions deligently. I hope I do the same at the F2F. I am CSA for mesaba a subsidiary of NWA. - Was this comment helpful? Mike 51 months ago	You start off with a math and time table test. You meet one recruiter who asks you many questions and then if selected you go to another. This person drills you on customer service and relocating. At that point, I was offered the job on the spot and did my finger printing and drug screen. Steve in Saint Cloud, Minnesota 51 months ago	Hi Sharon I filled out the online application right before Christmas and recieved an email for a phone interview about 4 weeks later then I did that and was invited to the F2F about a week later and haven't heard yah or ney,but it sounds like they hire you on the spot so I am not hopeful at this point. Also how you didnt get a long with other employees and how you worked through it. Be ready to read a card outloud about boarding a plane. EASY!! Gina Billings in Muskegon, Michigan 51 months ago	Sharon, i did not have to contact them for an interview. I applied multiple times say from way back as Septmember 07. They probably had 10 copies of my applications. They just recently, a month ago started communicating with me on the fact that they were processing my application. They sent me a background check form. i sent it back. Then a day ago they sent me an email to schedule a a phone interview appointment. I called yesterday and was given today's date and at exactly 11.40 the recruiter called and we did it. They had actually sent an email saying they wont be sending anyone for training until summer and that if that was not okey for me they understand if I decided to go with someone else. As far as your hair if you could pin it all back in ponytail professionally they really like that, make sure your wear a suit blue or black. Dress really sharp and wear makeup. Goodluck!!!! Got me thinking if i was the only one or first one who is going to be interviewing in my city. Unless probably every candidate is allocated a day. So Lisa what where the question at the f2f if you dont mind me asking. I know could be the usual Customer Service questions. I am glad they are hiring again....I am really excited..I hope I can afford to do it..I am still working all the kinks out..I have to work two jobs...a bud of mine started in flying in December and he is making $1200 a month bring home....I want Delta to hurry and merge..so we only have 6 days of reserve. - Was this comment helpful? Lisa D GIRL in Detroit, Michigan 51 months ago	Hey Mike, I have a cousin that works for NWA and she said that it is around $1357.00 a month plus per diem which she gets about 300 hours times 1.67 so it really depends on how often you fly. Mike i have a question, You mean to tell me that if Delta Merges we are going to have only 6 days of Reserve a month? if so then that is wonderful!!! also my cousin has been doing a lot of international flying and she loves it she has been to London, Paris, Narita, Hawaii, and Amsterdam Wow!!! Mike 51 months ago	Hey Lisa, My friend told me he only made $1200 but he only flew about 44 hours. You can pick up trips on your days off and it counts as extra and not against your guaranteed hours. He did fly to Amsterdam on his training flight but the best trip he has had so far was Hawaii. If I understand it right.If they merge, we will only have 6 days of reserve a month. We will be Delta, not NWA. I hope it happens otherwise I am going to have to turn the job down. I want it bad but can't afford to live on that and want to continue my other career..which means I need to be home on my days off. My sister flys for AA and does all of the international flights..but she has been there 24 years.. I want to do a lot of int flying..Good luck...I hope to see you.... - Was this comment helpful?
