Do you work at Northwestern Memorial Hospital? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Chicago Nursing Agency Jobs in Chicago, Illinois

If your a Registered Nurse in Chicago looking for a nursing job at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago you should look into doing agency nursing work. Northwesteren Memorial Hospital uses a lot of agency nurses. Ive done agency nursing work at northwestern for several years. Its a much more flexible way to actually work at the hospital when you want to work.

I work for an agency called Healthcare Personnel Inc. They have been around in the Chicago area for years and they work with most of the Chicago area hospitals. The pay rates are almost twice as much as a staff nurse and they send me to hospitals all over the Chicago area.

Here is their web site if you want to look them up.

Good luck in your search.

I cannot speak on how professional they are, however, I have found that unless you know someone who works there you are SOL when it comes to getting even an interview. Maybe that does say something about their professionalism...

Try seeing a doctor there and asking them to put in a good word for you.

NEW PCT NMH in Lake Bluff, Illinois said: Posting here will NOT help at all. The best thing to do is apply to many positions. Finds out who is the staffing specialist and write to them for that job. I got hired because I had a clear resume.. great qualifications.. and SENT A THANK YOU LETTER! Without it you will NOT get in!

I was just wondering how long it took for you to hear back about your job? I interviewed for an open position on Monday, and it seemed like the interview went really well. I also sent a thank you letter pretty quick after too. There were times during the interview that it seemed like I already had the job, but then at the end they said that they were "actively interviewing" for the rest of the week. However, they did show me around the lab, and the guy said if I haven't heard in two weeks to call HR because they are slow about that sort of thing. Anyway, it seems like an amazing job, and I really hope I get it...I guess I just hate waiting to hear back.
