Jobless in Thornton, Illinois

I applied for this position several months ago and see that it is still open. I've tried to contact Northwestern Memorial's Human Resource office to follow up, but I get a recording that says something like, "Sorry, we're so swamped that we can't comment on the status of your application." It's a big place, so I understand that. But I wish there was a way to talk to someone there, personally, about the status of my application.

It is impossible.. they have SOOOO many applicants it gets crazy. So MANY people want the position.. if you are not the one they chose.. they will not contact you.
