What do you think - will Opportunities for the Disabled grow fast? Are they expanding their staff? How does Opportunities for the Disabled stack up against the competition? |

Based on my personal experiences, I believe there are very few companies, less than 1% who are sincerely interested employing people with disabilities for reasons other than Federal Requirements. People like myself need clear and close directives and guidance on finding a suitable job matching my specific needs. I have lost three jobs specifically because of my disabilities, although I was performing my essential job duties. Just to give you an idea:
2. 8 Years of continued service on my next job. Then the manager who fired me from my first job came to work for our company, and as fate would have it, was my new manager. Within a few months after his arrival, I was on short-term disability; which was all of the sudden stopped. Then I was told I owed the company back pay on disability, and within a week from then I was fired. 3. 4.5 Years of service. After about a year on the job, I began experiencing bullying and harassment on the job which was reported over time several times, but never stopped. It got so bad I had to resign. Now i have no job, no income and I find it impossible to find any kind of job now. |
