I don't know what's going on with all these companies that say that they're hiring. It seems like it's a hoax because they keep advertising the same thing month after month. I'm beginning to suspect that the so called "recuiters" get paid for every resume they receive OR they sell our information to mortgage, telemarketing, or other companies for our personal information. I have been looking for a job for over 3 months now. I have sent numerous resumes, filled out applications and everything possible and I can't believe that not one of these companies are calling. I consider myself to be professional and have all the qualifications these companies are looking for and they are still not calling. It's pretty low if these companies are taking every applicant as a joke and taking advantage of the personal information given to them for them to sell or goodness knows what they are doing with the resumes they receive. This is very upsetting to all the people that need jobs. Something is going on! If I am removed from this message board for saying this, then I have proved what I'm saying is the truth. Thank you.

Well, you couldn't have said it any better! I agree w/you 100%. Something weird is going on. I've been searching for a job and keep coming accross the same BS and no call.

If you're not hearing back from these companies its because your resume has not impressed them. Are you applying for jobs you are not qualified for? Do you have a job history that shows that you don't stay for very long? Take another look at your resume and then have a friend or family member look it over who will be very honest about their feedback. Also, be sure to include your email address and a working phone number. I can't tell you how many times people have applied and did not include contact information. And do yourself a favor. Don't do your resume in all cap or all lower case and you might want to re-think your email address or call tones if you are going to be looking for a job. Remember dress to impress if you do get a call (and don't wear flip flops to the interview).

I don't know what part of Hill Billy land you're from but where I live and where I come from, we know how to write resumes and how to dress for an interview. I guess you're talking from personal experience???

You spoke the truth, and you are not alone. I applied for jobs and never heard from the companies to be interviewed. Yet, few weeks latter, the same companies posted the same jobs looking for potential candidates. My advice is just keep continuing applying elsewhere. And if they don't call you for interviews, It's their losses, not yours.
