Went for a merchandiser interview recently!! Got asked a total of 3 questions that have absolutely nothing to do with the job. I've been in retail for 10 years as a manager and wanted to something with a little more freedom and set hours. I know the job. Pack out the delivery, fill all displays and coolers, condense pallets, and leave area neat. Go to next store.

Did you get the job? I was hired four months ago by PBG. I can't really remeber the questions, but they do not care if you know the job or not. I had never worked in the retail before. All I knew was what I read on the internet about merchandising. What they are looking for (I think) is if you can handle the job physically. A case of 2 liters weighs like 40-45 lbs. As a merchandiser I usually average 45 to 48 hours over FOUR days. The other thing is if you switch jobs alot, they want someone who will stay with the company and move up if needed.

PBGDude how long did your Backround check take? I know I have a clean criminal and clean Driving record was just wondering if it is usually taking over a week for the check????

I have a face to face interview tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knows how long the interview process takes and or how long does it take for them to choose you?..any info would be great!
