People quit because they expect 1 person to do the job of 3, and the management is backbiting and pits their people against each other, then they expect you to be grateful for the money and benefits. It is truly not worth working there.

It sounds like Nestle Waters North America Arrowhead division in California. They have incompetent egotistical people they call resource that in reality know nothing and when you ask for advise they rather turn you back to find a team solution since they do not know....Pepsicula and NWAs management must have come form the baking industry since these industries are archaic.

The resources are overworked just like everyone else at Nestle Waters North America Arrowhead, 1 person does the work of 3. Only your resource is responsible for giving you advice, for your training, etc. Other resources will not answer your questions to avoid problems. "I don't know" really means "No I will not answer your questions or train you because I can't interfere with another resource's worker, I'm not getting pulled into a he said/she said mess." They may seem egotistical but have you thought that they might be irritated at your resource for not training you, or telling you what you need to know? You do the same - when someone who is not your resource asks you to do something, you say no with a polite, thoughtful explanation. That is the correct thing to do.
The high turnover rate at many companies is mainly because people can't figure out their real job responsibilites, can't figure out who the real boss is, can't figure out the unspoken rules, don't undertand that "teamwork" really means your immediate team.

Dude, your not alone. All jobs, especially labor intensive, will take advantage of you. Especially without a union. They have all the leverage on you. ALl managment cares about his getting their bonus. Turnover is expected in that line of work and company.

This is what is so WRONG with many big companies...they are about as organized as a high school clique and the management is more worried about the stockholder than running the company correctly so that it becomes or remains profitable. Take care of the small things and the big things will take care of themselves!
