In August they went through a re-org, closing two of the (Regional) Business Unit offices (Managment personnel). They also did layoffs in Europe. Their strategy is to get closer to the consumer. It's added more work and higher expectations for those still around. A lot of unhappy campers.
Their goal, like their competitor, is to grow. Sell more Soda! Over the past 5 years, there has been a decline in carbonated beverage sales and an increase in the non-carb sales (Water, juice). All competitors faced negative publicity when it was disclosed that bottled waters were/are tap water going through a filtration process. As a society, we are becoming more health conscious. Time will tell.
