does that mean you can never request a holiday off at all? do you switch holidays or have to work every single one due to this "blackout period"? Someone explain....thanks alot! |

Typically the blackout period is Nov. 15 through Jan 15, the busy time of year. If you are scheduled to work the holiday during this time, you are expected to work it. If you are not, count yourself lucky. Corp. policy is that you are not supposed to request time off during this period for any reason, and no vacation time either during this period. You are more than welcome to "try" and request off any of the other major holidays throughout the year. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!! |

i think you can still request off say christmas eve, but its not guarenteed off. basically by managers approval...because not everyone is going to be working on that day. |
