Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Pfizer?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Pfizer?

Well, that was last week. This week it is 9am - breakfast, 11:00am - you have no job, 12-3pm - drink your faces off, 3:30 work on your resume, 4:30 - go home for the rest of the week.

Typical day starts around 7:30
If you are working in Field Sales you will be wearing a suit. Don't even think about taking your jacket off in 100 degrees...and don't wear those short sleeved dress shirts with your tie...I have seen guys shunned for this.....you don't want to be shunned!
At HQ it's business appropriate - one step up from business casual
NO open toed shoes
NO facial hair if you want to get promoted
Day ends when your manager feels like ending it. This usually means they will peel out an hour early to miss traffic and tell you to make two more sales calls so you can try and drive home in it.

NO, you probably won't want to spend a "Happy Hour" with your boss....or a colleague....not worth the risk of saying something you might regret...nothing good ever came of these.

Ever read "Who Moved My Cheese"? Trust me when I say that there is no more cheese at Pfizer. A few people with Swiss for brains, though...full of holes.

Pfizer is a joke. I wouldn't recommend anyone working for them unless you want to be stabbed in the back every day you go to work. Pfizer is a dirty company to work for and have no respect for people.

The atmosphere in every deparment and every location at Pfizer is different. My department is a fun department. We go out for drinks, joke around, celebrate birthdays, milestones & acheivements. My work group will be attending a concert together later this month. Work is what you make it.

Has anyone ever worked in the Corporate HQ. I saw a job of interest there and wondered what the culture was like and the general pay scale in NY.
