Great question! As US Director of HR, I can happily answer your question. The office environment and culture is something we are taking very seriously here at PHD. We want this to be a place where people want to work. We're a casual and fun environment (think purple and green walls, open spaces, couches, business casual/casual dress, etc...). We have started a Social Committee to bring people from all groups together and build camaraderie. We do office happy hours at local "watering holes" and fun things like bake offs and trivia nights. We also host town halls in our offices so that people have a chance to mingle and hear info first hand from the leadership team. We are more in-tune with social media with twitter pages, Facebook, Linkedin, and Tumblr. Professionally, we have just launched a learning and development team that brings many professional trainings to employees. It's new, started off with a bang, and continuing to gain even more momentum. We're listening to what people want, what is important to them, and doing our best to accommodate. It's no secret that the ad agency world can be demanding (it is a client service industry after all), but we want to make PHD a fun place that people are proud to be a part of.
