What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Pitney Bowes? What do you like best about working at Pitney Bowes? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

Starting salaries are spartan, to say the least. Depends on which side of the organization you're in as far as bonuses and benefits. The special treat is you get to keep your job for a maximum 3% annual pay raise. The sales division has 100%+++++ turnover as they start with a barren base salary and require about a year of intensive training. The mailroom side is dissipating due to a huge increase in competition doing it better, faster, and more efficiently. If you're going to give yourself and your happiness to a large corporation, look elsewhere. All the money in the world couldn't put me back into this organization. |

Their desktop support position in Providence was $19.21-$21.00/hr - not my cup of tea... plus they want a drug test - guilty until proven innocent. |

If any of you are a true salesperson you know it is not the base, it is the commish. I earn 100K my first year and even more the following years. So, shut up, go to work and create your own raise. Or get out of sales. Not eveyone is cut out to be a true producer. Try driving the big rigs. |

I agree with you about the commish. I am a performer, but never worked for a large company. What does it take to succeed at HP? |

Not everyone can drive a big rig Freeman. Driving a rig is a little more difficult to drive than a sedan or pick-up for most.(same with sales) |

The PB location here in West Michigan seems to have very high turnover. I figure there is a reason for that. |

LOVE MY NEW JOB AWAY from PB in Hayes, Virginia 13 months ago |
$100k is chump change if you have the experience! I will easily clear that just by residuals the last 6 months of this year. There are better companies that pay better and don't have OZ up your ass! RUN AWAY AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Former 10 year employee. Resigned after being written up for the one and only time for taking time off due to the loss of a loved one. Took me a year to find the perfect position and I was a top dog at PB. Pacemaker and top performer every year. FU PB |

Hey, I read your response about sales jobs at Pitney. I have been here for two years now and still haven't made any money. I have been told I am a classic sales man; right drive, people skills, time manangement etc. Anyways, was wondering how did you have success with this company. All the successfull people I knew left the company complaining you don't make anymore money after one year. Care to hear your thoughts. Archie |
