It seems that most topics here are related to sales positions. What about field service technicians. How are they treated. What is the interview like for teckies? How is training, pay, teamwork?

Everone please consider this guys motivation before making a decision based on his comments. No motivation just the truth. You may have been hired on as a specialist with experience. If you do have experience and $35k is enough for you then good luck. It isn't as bad on the service end as sales. However the company is downsizing, that is a fact. Check it out on Hoovers. Oh wait, $35k won't provide you enough $$$ to get a subscription to Hoovers! Everyone consider what I say, 10 years is what I say. 3 were good when the stock was hanging at $70+ /share. Haven't checked today but it's nearly half that! Why do you think Critelli stepped down? |

Had to follow up. Depending on your skill level $35k isn't that great. I was a tech before my 10 years with PB. I was pulling in $35k in the early 90's. That isn't such a great starting wage. You have to use your own transportation don't forget, so make sure you check what your trans expense payout is. You could end up making little to nothing. If you want insurance for yourself or family you will pay through the nose for it.

Let it go and live in peace. Please seek help! |
