Do you work at PRC? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I worked there for a short time. In Durant, Oklahoma all you have to do is call and walk in the door and you're hired. They have lots of openings all the time. PRC management says they are "ramping up". If you're from Durant, Oklahoma or close at least try it if you need a job. I got $9 an hour during training but telemarketing just wasn't my bag.

PRC pulls you in for the higher paying inbound call jobs where no selling is required, gives you inadequate testing tailored for failing, gives those jobs to the college students who pick and choose their hours and behavior, then offers you the lower paying telemarketing jobs. Some people aren't comfortable as salesmen. It's the old bait and switch in my opinion.

Why would you want to work for PRC? They are one of the rudest companies out there. Benefits are bad compared to others, and the People Director is worth nothing. She only gets her information from not her staff, but people that are not qualified in HR and she really doesn't know human resources at all. If you really want to work for PRC all you have to do is walk in and they'll do a background check before your interview and you'll start the next week. Good luck and have fun!

Just walk in and we'll hire you..... We did have a great People Manager only here for a short time, but she has left and we want her back, she knew how to talk to us and train us on discipling others, but was a friend as well.

Bring her back we want and need her!!!!!

It's true. PRC will pull you in for higher paying jobs then change after your training, if that is what you call it. The trainers are worh nothing. They need to start at the top with the People Director who is also worth nothing. Doesn't even know about all the laws, including eeo. If we can change the top and offer better benefits then I believe PRC will be a good company to start your employment history.

You do not want to work for PRC. The Director of Operations is a twit. She manages based on what others report to her (she has individuals that work for her, approximately 10, that worked with her at another employer including the Manager of HR; they report conversations back to her; very childish and unprofessional). The Manger of HR doesnt even know how to use her cell phone. I have never worked with so many individuals that are clueless.

The individuals that are running the Operations of PRC in Florida are alcoholics.

Please, go find another employer that will treat you right.

PRC is a very disorganized and unsympathetic place to work. As a former manager, I was subject to harassment, both personally and professionally. If you looking for an IT position, be prepared to give up your personal life, and don’t expect any recognition or compensation time. Ask any of the 4 CIO's they have fired in the past 3 years. I would not recommend working for PRC.

EX PRC, I agree..... I too was a manager, but left after several months of wrong verbage from others that I worked with in many locations. As a person who knows my job/position very well PRC can and will get caught some day.

Our People director will take things to her home to burn instead of shredding the professional way. Burning is an illegeal way of destorying records due to the nature you can still retrieve some information.

When I left I told one of my managers they can call and I will tell him the real reason why I left. To this day, he hasn't called.

There are better trust worthy companies out there.

If your in Denver go out to the office it is on Chester St near Dry Creek and I-25. Walk in, make sure you take your resume. Be prepared to take some tests customer service and what not. They require that you type 30 wpm so make sure you can but they will give you the typing test a couple of times if you need to. Other than that it was pretty easy.

PRC is a large (10,000 employees) company made up of B2C and B2B Customer Care and Sales operations...both are equally dysfuncional and mismanaged. There are a few good people but they can't make a difference by swimming up stream against the ignorant management team from SVP on down. I was in management as well and could not believe the actions and words from upper management - they probably have to deal with a ton of lawsuits.

Turnover is very high and most people leave after a few weeks. I could write a very very looonng list of why to stay away but I won't waste your time like they wasted mine. There are quality companies out there who know how to treat their people with respect and offer career development...PRC is not one of them!

Stay away from PRC!!!

PRC is very choosy about who they hire apparently. I have experience in the field and a bunch of people I worked with previously work there now. I went in there for an interview and took the test and that went fine (i passed all the tests no problem). But during the first interview the interviewer asked me my race which employers are not allowed to do. The second interview was awkward as well, I can tell they were just juding me the whole time and I know right then and there I didn't get the job. They still won't tell me why I didn't get the job or why they had to ask me my race so I'm now filing a complaint about them. There is no way I shouldn't have gotten that job. They're a horrible company.

Our Tap manager wouldn't allow that to happen, however, we didn't give her a fair shot. Our Office person told us what to write on an evaluation of our HR Manager and now I felt sorry for listening to her. We want her back. She was great, alway's had an open door policy and would be there at any time to hear us out. She was very experience in her fild and knew what what was right and wrong on handling policies and procedures.

I wish I can take back everything I said about our manager and blame our office person because she didn't like her and would not smoke with us. I can't even talk to our HR Director in CR, IA about it because I lied.

I agree. I went for interview in Maitland, FL (Orlando suburb). First 2 of 3 interviewers (asked series of 100 questions dealing with honesty. Then interview with HR mgr. He proceeded to ask me the 100 questions AGAIN. By this time it felt more like an interogation than an oral question/answer test. Then haughty, egomaniac HR mgr. proceeded to go into a oration, which was a bit on the company but mostly on his philosophy of life and work. I had been there almost 3 hrs. At the end I asked no questions, I was exhausted, and not interested in job. Perhaps this is why they ALWAYS have openings. This firm was part of Robert Half Technologies and Modis, 2 staffing firms with bad reputations. They may still be part of it. Stay away unless you are deperate.

They still have their huge 'now hiring' sign up. You can see it from the freeway too. I heard they're not worth working for anyways. They do have health benefits, but they have insurance hardly nobody takes.

I've found a better job anyways. Call center work gets so boring and old fast.

I'm glad I didn't get hired. I guess it was blessing in disguise.

You have to be either a) stupid as hell to not get hired at PRC or b) are a slacking bum.

It's really not that bad, it is slightly disorganized but that doesnt make it a bad place. These people on here comlaining probably got fired for something that was a good reason. I've had 25 jobs in 3 years and I've been at PRC for 1 year. That has something to say about it. If you start out on the phone and you have any kind of desire to self motivate you can move up and make more money and not be on the phone. Just my 2 Cents.

Gina I remember you. It wasn't an issue with EEOC. That center is the most diverse, the truth was you stunk. You had no idea how to handle a customer service call and truth be told, if you were on my team I would have to run over and handle all your "difficult calls". Face, there are some folks that get selected to play in the majors and then there are some that fill up the minors. It is safe to say that you will be in the minors for a looooooooooong time.

People at PRC get fired for violation of company policy or they just cant handle working in a call center. They should just stop saying yes to job offers if they can't handle the call center environment. The truth is that if these folks had an ounce of committment they would still be working for PRC.

Some of the top tier leadership at PRC are African Americans. I have seen African Americans in this organization go from agent to Client Services Director. I myself am African American and even with some of the craziness in PRC I have always found that PRC helps promote the minority. While places like Exxon and Smith and Barney say they do, PRC gives folks the opportunity to grow and even one day run an entire account that revenues more money then any other account, so give me a break and stop lying. Call Centers and such.

Where are, then, good call centers to work at in the Denver Metro area?
I have some experience with two of them in a different state and could use the head's up on which ones to avoid. Or should I avoid all of them and try something else? Base motivation I desire in a job environment is to treat people decently, and help them like you would want me to treat your kind 90 year old grandmother. Is that so hard now a days to achieve with the current call center environment? If there is anyone offering a job with those qualities I would be interested. Also, any experience, thoughts, or opinions would be helpful before I engage in the ineffectual companies you have written about.

As I drive by the center the sign up bonus is still in the window. A current TAP manager tells me the People Director is still taking your personal information home and burning it. Come on get real... you can still retrive personal information if it's burned. I know as I'm in HR. As a professional in HR I know what is right and wrong.

I am curious at to where you got your information on Diamond Castle Holdings. I know that as a "LBO" company they doing what all "LBO" do and that is pour alot of capital into a company that has been spun off; with designs to then sell that company for a nice profit and then move on. Does that make it a bad thing or a good thing? Not necessarily. It just is what it is... a company that has lot of new paint and is making an operational change. I think that PRC can be a very good company to work for but it is not for everyone nor is everyone for PRC. It does not make either party good or bad. If you go into it with an eye for opportunities and network well, then it is not a terrible place to work. As with all changes there is going to be frustration and disillusionment. I don't care who you are or who you work for... it is what you make it. But it is not the old MCI.. look it up. It is a private equity group founded by former investment bankers. Mmmmmm doesn't sound like good ol MCI now does it. By the way Diamond Castle had at the beginning of the yr $1.8 billion to pour into their investments and to date that is only 6 companies and so far they have only spent $670 million. Oh yeah, there is a connection with MCI.... some of their site operations were with MCI but I don't think that translates into MCI having changed it's name to Diamond Castle Holdings.

The only thing left is to sell it off piece by piece. Face up PRC you made a bad decision and now the big bad "V" owns you.....

JoeLiving,
God BLESS you for being smarter than the average bear! PRC is is THE worst company I have EVER not been blessed to work for. The simple fact that an ENTIRE marketing department can exist without ONE marketing degree between them reminds me of those commercials that were out a few years back where the office was full of monkey's "running the business". Basic business 101, you let GED armed forces into the corporate office then you get "Good Enough Degree" results. Its a shame that so many people can't see it. It's like the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for..." lets do the math...you promote agents from the floor that make $11.00 an hour to management positions (and NO I'm not even talking TM, I mean Ops managers, Client Services managers,GM's with associats degress)and you end up paying them $38,000 and they are happy! That's the best they could ever hope for anyways so PRC is smart enough to figure out that if they promote FOOLS to take their bate of a whole WHOPPING $38,000 then they save on the bottom line. Problem is "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" You promote these people who have NO clue as to how to run a business. There is a REASON why colleges exist...its to give people a CLUE! An associates degree (there is a reason why it starts with ASS Thad) is ONE half of a step from a high school diploma. don't get me wrong, lots of people in this world have made it without advanced degrees BUT those people are extraordinary but they are far and few and you have a better chance of being hit by lightning. Poor PRC, they are scrambling for a profit and since they have people who don't know the difference between net and gross profit, continue to give promotions to people who don't deserve them/or promote based on who they are buddy's with then they might be okay. I left PRC of my own accord, because I could and felt my career crying out to me to go back to the real world!
