Well I have some good news. I received my last expense check today and it was able to be cashed!

Thanks for this information. I wasn't aware I was suppose to file with the PA attorney general since I don't live in PA. I filed with the Ohio attorney general on January 2 and haven't heard anything yet.

i just want to say in respnse to kelli s .....i worked for a brief time in the wport office.....that manager was a LUNATIC!!!!!! She wanted everyone to brush her hair, if they didn't she would cancel their sales appts and give them to someone else....we used to put ink marks on her pantyhose to see how many days in a row she would wear those things w/o washing them....we never peed in the coffee, but when she would barge into my office in the middle of one of my dailies and demand that i "FETCH her waterbottle"...she no doubt got a nice cold refreshing drink of toilet water that day just for being so rude to my clients!!!! i think JF is responsible for a certain well to do lady's untimely demise because she would encourage both her and her husband to take waaaaayyyyyyy more than the recommended dosage just so they would buy more everytime they came in. That lady went in for surgery during the time frame of her LA visits, and left behind a young boy who is now 13 and w/o his mother.....she probably never told her surgeon that she was taking a bottle of FB500 per week....honestly, i dont know how she sleeps at night.....

It may take a week to 2 weeks to get any kind of response...I filed my report with both FL and PA on Dec 28th... I got a call from the PA office a couple days ago, still have not heard anything from FL. Either way, they will get back to you in time. I hope you were able to file the complaint with PA...the more people that do it, the better.

I too was a trainer with the company. I took my position very seriously and did a good job. I went to the centers after trainings and did follow up, coaching and developing and also did workshops. My job was more then that classroom. I think we failed them when we cut training down to 3 days! 5 days were perfect. When the new trainee's hit their centers that is where the pressure to sell hit them. Also, we did have some pretty bad hires out there! Some were truly untrainable! All the bad press and Vahan aside, I know it won't prevent me from getting a good job in my field because I really know that I did a good job and gave 100%. Good Luck with your new job.

Joe do you need maintenance or stabilization? I don't really think there is anything to follow for maintenance but with stabilization you add food slowly back into your diet. I know where you can get this info.

thanks for your reply.we have the stabilization guide but our center was out of the maintenance book, and we got no reply from headquarters.
we have found some on EBay but they're not allowing the sale because of copyright problems.
i'm looking for a franchise to contact or someone with a copy that i could purchase.

I received my last paycheck today with a letter stating to cash it right away because of limited funds. The check did not come from Pure Weight Loss or La Weight Loss. I am hoping that it is good.

Thanks for the tip on saving the last pay stub. I was thinking the same thing. I am certain that by this time next year this weight loss company will be the last thing on our mind. Good Luck to everyone and whatever the funture holds for them.

I enrolled at the center in Northridge, Ca. Today I went there and the doors were closed and the numbers that they left for us to contact are no good. I like the diet and I would like to stay on it. Is there something out there that we can substitute for LITES?

I wouldn't worry about getting a copy. I have one and it really doesn't say much more than I'm sure you already know like making healthy habits permanent, and just to follow stuff you have been. Keep eating healthy and exercising and watching portions and sodium intake.

Make a copy of it before you cash it. Send it to the PA AG office. This just goes to show how effing stupid this guy is...he's paying monies out of his new business. There has to be a way that any new ventures he starts can have it's assets frozen. After all, he was pushing new membership when he had closing the doors already in the works.

There HAS to be a way that FRAUD can be proven here.

Thought the loyals had jumped ship, unfortunately not...I will reiterate-I worked for this company for almost 7 years, probably close to a record ( except for those making the huge bucks and/or sleeping with the boss). When I came aboard, I think it was a good company, but the push, push,push later on got very bad. There were supervisors that left not long after 9/11 that were pushed out. And they were good, ethical people. It was after that the company went downhill. I'm sure profits were up for a while but you can't keep screwing people forever, employees and clients alike. Go to H,EB, CB, VK, MB, and KP, who I didn't even know. Definately the same for KC and C D, S, or H whatever the heck your new matchmaker husbands last name is. What an awfull place to work it was. The thing was, most of the clients really liked it at the beginning. They got sick of the excessive pushing of product and of course, the constant "sales". The savvy ones just said they'd wait for the next "sale". Sale my A--.To upper management they were cattle brought in for the slaughter, and the center was the slaughterhouse. Most center employees were good people caught up in the mess. I worked for LA from 1998 to 2005. I know the deal, and the crap.

I had just started the company in 2004 in Pa and yes I loved my job but, its just like you said if you didn't push these clients to constantly spend money you were of no use. Before I left my center clients had started to comment on several of the management and other counselors and how they were not interested in helping them lose weight just trying to sell sell sell them things and were threatening not to come back. Every time we had meetings I would bring this up as an attempt to try and come up with a different sales tactic it was shot down. I totally agree. Some people forgot what we were truly there for.

Now that the company has offically closed - I can now say that I worked for corporate and saw first hand how upper management drove the company into the ground. At no time during my employment with the company did I ever feel that we were working to help the clients. The corporate office was a joke and the manner in which it was run was horrible. Upper management was lazy and walked around all day doing absolutely nothing. The majority of people in the office were two-faced, back-stabbing miserable people who came into work, did as little as possible and collected their paychecks on Friday's. If you weren't one of VK's girls - forget it - he wouldn't even know who you were. You would be lucky if he knew your name. I am thrilled to be out of there. I know I will be better off in the long run.

I was an employee in Missouri... beware everyone.. I was just doing my banking and found out that my last 3 expense checks bounced. This is a total crock. Why even write the check if they know it is no good.

If anyone has yet to receive a check and has not deposited it , do not deposit , cash it , that way if it bounces it will not come back on your account. I worked for a LA franchise center, closed Jan 4th and we have been having to do this for over a month. My last pay received this Monday check cleared but fellow managers of closed LA Franchises have not been so lucky.
