So, I have seen all aspects of the business....not a pretty sight as you all know.

You are not an assistant are regional...what a joke of a title, no ofense...there is not one by the name of Holly Allan. See, there is another problem with the corporate end of things. What was the purpose of all the "imprtant job titles". Like Joni, what a joke. Her title had like 5 words in it and meant nothing.

What does it all mean now? I think in the future I will put on my resume that I was the Queen regional Director of Superior regional sales. Who will answer the phones and say different?

Joni is a good person! She knows what she is doing and I have personally seen it myself in action... Joni if your reading any of this... this is Lori you are the greatest!

Frederiksen said his office had received only a handful of complaints from Pure customers. He said customers should be "proactive" and contact his office quickly. "Personally, if it were me at this point," he said, "I wouldn't take anybody's word for anything."

Customers who have automatic payment plans should contact their bank or credit card company to have them stopped, he said.

Pennsylvania residents can file a complaint by calling 1-877-888-4877 or going to "health care complaints" at www.attorneygeneral.gov. Customers from other states can call 1-717-705-6938 and should also call the Attorney General's Office in their home state, Frederiksen said.

Happy holidays to all. I am excited I am starting a new job in January I hope everyone is looking or getting unemployement. LOL focus on positive, negative thinking just makes you upset and weak. Tough it out keep looking for your dream jobs. It is out there I know it. I just hope this new job does not screw me over too. Is anyone on here still working in a center? Well I am. We have been told to take client orders so that when we get the product in we can fill it. Ohhhhhhh found out today that our last shipment if any will be on Friday. We are to then hand out refund applications to the clients. Yes, this is after we have told them the lites are non refundable. We all know this is a huge crock. They will never see a dime but we are to be in the front lines taking their anger. This is insane.

Clients will get no such refunds. We are only giving them a refund application to get them off our backs. It makes me sick. The newest thing also is if the employee sticks it out until the 4th they will get any accrued vacation and sick time. This is a way to get us to stay through the madly insane clients... at least who will be when no shipments arrive.

In the Poconos. We are about 45 minutes from Allentown. Very close to NJ. I am a former employee of Pure Weight Loss, when it was still LA Weight Loss and I know Williamsport was in our district for a bit. Also we are about 40 min south of Scranton and Wilkes Barre, PA.

Was north, then central. Never really had a place, that's why so much of went on here was neglected, until lawsuits happened, then just quietly settled.

I loved the clients but management at times was awful. I had a few good managers. But one HORRIBLE one. Also the regional lied through her teeth to get what she wanted you to do the back out of all her promises. I know of a manager who sexually harrassed a client and nothing was done about it. We were never to mention it. I still see clients who have not gone back since I left. They complained of the turnover and the high pressure sales tactics. They also complained that the majority of the counselors there didn't care. I personally have been a retail mgr for almost 17yrs except for the yr and a half that I was at LA and I never treated my employees as badly as that company treated theirs.

so who was your manager/regiional?Why didnt you report it to your vp?

Also the manager the sexually harassed the client, we were told of this by our regional. But the mgr was gone from the company so they just let it go.

I worked in a center and then operations for almost 6 years before I left the company about 2 years ago...I saw a lot and had many supervisors along the way. I left on good terms and had a great expierence with the company. I became pregnant and knew that I could not handle the 60 hour work weeks expected of me so I left.

I dont know how I got so involved in this forum-I guess I saw some of my favorite people getting bashed in here and it really upset me! I have to say, so many people have bad things to say about Elaine and everytime I saw her she was so nice and down to earth. She would come to our center once in a while to meet up with our regional or vp(dont recall her real title) they didnt stick around long but she would always ask if I needed anything.She really did seem to care. Just thought I would put in my two cents about her too!

well I would of been disappointed too if that was my expierence with la. I did have one horrible supervisor long ago her name was lisa goldberg. She was so mean and made fun of the clients behind their backs. She got fired fast once the fabie team came in!

I think the company protected certain people due to the amount of revenue they brought in. I saw this first hand. The mgr that I spoke of earlier that was accused of sexually harassing a client, well before that all came to light she did alot of other things like take clients to her house for the weekend. Do shady things with sales. Steal sales from her counselors.(Which I never quite understood due to the bonus structure they worked under) and numerous other things. They only thing that was done at that point was she was moved to another, higher revenue center as a full time counselor and she made more money than she did in our center as mgr. Gee what harsh punishment. They key to this whole story is the amount of revenue she generated, shady or not.

Karen, it was actually nice to chat with you tonight. I think we shared some things without getting combative. I spent this evening with a good friend and actually talked about our mutual experiance of working for this company and we both agreed it could have worked, if not for the poor manager we both endured at Williamsport. We also laughed about how p*ssed off my postings have been, it's just you have no idea what we put up with.

Yes I admit some hires were no good, but the company was deprived of at least 10 really good hires due to her sabotage. I've kept in touch with many of them and they have gone on to make good money for other companies.

Okay guys, I'm still working in central PA and I am so worried about telling these clients that I will fill their orders when the products arrive. I have e-mailed the company several times, asking for assurance that there will be a delivery, but I get no response. I have bent over backward to help these clients but I am afraid they will get stuck.

I just did most of the OZ count and have abourt 2985 boxes of lites owed and I still have about 50 files to go through. I know we won't get that many so a lot of people will get stuck. I am so sad for them.

Does anyone know if we can order the LA lites from any
of the open LA franchise stores?
