Hey all... got a fairly large order of lites into my center yesterday. It'll fill about 1/3 of my orders... wondering if I'll get some more. Also,,, my computer is no longer connected to corporate... So I had no CNET, no Email and I couldn't punch in... HMMMMMMMMMMMMM???? Corporate is lucky I feel obligated to my clients! |

I did get an e-mail today (after I e-mailed them) saying that they would send me some lites next week but not what I need to fill the orders and not the flavors that I need. I will be able to fill some orders but most will go unfilled. I asked whey they didn't send them last week when I told them that I was out but the answer I got was lame. Of course, the people ther don't know much either and their hands must be tied.

Hi Girlie Q! You'll probably stay on that gold plan for the duration of your weight loss. do you have all the lites you need? Go back about 4 or 5 pages in this forum... Stablilization is listed out for you.. Otherwise, post your email and I will email you the information... |

It is unfortunate what happened, however everyone needs to be mature and realize that everything will work out for the better. Pure was a great company to work for and I will definitely leave there with a lot of knowledge. If the company was so horrible then some of you should have left a long time ago and not let the door hit you in your a**. To come on this site and bash Vahan and upper management is not right - I am sure that Vahan never wanted this to happen and to post his personal information as well as those in the corporate office is so immature. Who is benefiting from this? I had day to day contact with all departments in corporate and I never had any problems - NF, KS, LF in HR were always helpful and available as well as everyone else in other departments. Instead of spending time on this site, people should be on Monster, Careerbuilder and Hotjobs looking for a new job. It's time better spent! |

I also worked directly under RB and I refuse to believe that she is corrupt like the others. I truly think her heart was in the right place. She will be an asset to any organization that will be blessed enough to have her. I did work with some wonderful people in the company that I hold the utmost respect for but as far as the Senior Management (we need not name names... we are all too aware of who you are) you did not care about your employees or the clients. It was all about your own selfish greed and you did not care who you hurt or the families that were put through enormous strain to benefit your pocketbooks. I am one of the lucky ones who got out as the ship was starting to sink. Thank God! I feel for those of you who are still there, you will be amazed once removed from the situation how open your eyes will become. RB... if you are out there, thank you for removing me from the situation! I am a much happier, healthier person now. You were great and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Best of luck to you all! The grass is much greener on the other side. |

I am a former employee of LAWL/PWL, working in the corporate office. The closing of LAWL/PWL is very sad and I feel for those losing thier jobs. I really enjoyed my years with LAWL/PWL. I also sympathize for the clients who I am sure feel betrayed. I know many of you posting to this site. I was fortunate to meet many of the field employees as well as knowing all the corporate ones. I have read each of the 1200+ posts and the bitterness felt is understandable, but please don't take personal shots at one and other. Like I said, I know many of you. I know Cindy and she is a good person. I most likely know loyalemployee and I am sure you are not a bad person, so please knock off the hatefull comments. |

my center closed Dec8th and I am now on my own doing so much better. For those of you who know me you also know how much passion I have for the weight loss business because I lost over 200 pounds so with my web sight (teamweightloss.net) I hope to grow and help others change their lives for the better I believe everyone here will find their place career wise and take what you have learned and give the next company you work for your best. I filed a complaint with the Pa Atty General's office and recieved a phone call from someone telling me to fill out the health care complaint form as well. I also called care credit and the ae sending out a dispute form for the charges made at Pure Weight Loss. Hopefully something can be done.

GirlieQ, If you are out of lites, switch to the purple plan and follow it except for the 2 lites. That adds enough additional calories for you to lose your weight. If you need the exchanges they are: 2 protein (protein servings are 2 oz bigger than the gold plan)

I spoke with my brother's business attorney today. He told me that we can all file a complaint with our state's attorney generals...however...once Pure files bankruptcy...THEY will be protected against any lawsuits. He felt that there will be a class action lawsuit filed...eventually...but once the lawyers get their money...we'll be lucky to get $50.00 bucks (and he said that's being generous) I know when I went into my local Pure location last week, there was a senior citizen there that had laid out about $1500.00 in bars (because she was talked in to buying in large quantity to "save" money) and membership (she was going to need almost 2 years to get to her goal) I felt so bad for her. She's lost all of that mone...while the crooks who owned Pure are going to walk away with whatever they have and have their hands cleaned of it. It's unfortunate...but the laws are designed to protects the criminals...not us. No wonder people go postal... |

The last time I was in my center December 12th, I was told that the warehouse was closing and that I had to take at least 5 boxes of lites with me. I wish I had known the d*mn place was closing down.

I want to reply to you....I appreciate your honesty and your loyalty to the company! (I wish I had the chance to meet you face to face...) I too believe in the program! I've seen the success and the lives that I help to personaly save!!!!! There are to many to count. To my collegues that are here to the end...keep you head up! Remember how many lives you've touched, how many tears of sadness you turned in tears of joy! Yes am I hurt and angry about this whole thing...absolutely! But I know that there is something out there for us that is bigger and better! To our clients....I leave you with this...the program works!!!! I've seen it...don't let this discourage you from your success thus far! One thing that I used to tell my clients is this........find that one reason that bought you into the center or picked up the phone and set up that appointment...find that fire that you had! That one thing that you are doing this for and go back to that!!!!! Don't lose your fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

But I know that those who got scammed can attend their bankruptcy hearing because if you sue them you are part of the list of creditors...basically they owe you money...there are loop holes in bankruptcy filing...they are not an LLC, just keep filing those complaints to your state attorney general and CC them to the PA attorney general, BBB, Pure Weight Loss.

I need some advice. I am owed about $445 from Pure Weight Loss, $49 is for 1 year of service and the rest is for Lites. I made the purchase about 4 weeks ago, on my credit card, and have put in a dispute for that amount. I was just informed from the center that I go to, that they can replace the Lites that are owed with products that they have in the center, should I rush over there and get everything I possibly can, or hold off and hope that I will get the full amount back from my credit card? |

WOW. I just got a surprising phone call from my center. They are still operating on extremely limited hours. I picked up my 10 boxes of lites, which should hold me for a bit. I also got the stabilization info and a purple plan book, so that once my lites are gone, I can follow that. What a relief. Thanks so much for your reply! |

I only found out TODAY that Pure Weight Loss is closing...I had been away and when I tried to go to my center last Friday the 21st, they were closed, and there was no explanation...today I finally spoke to the manager of the center and she told me what was going on. I was instructed to file for a refund with Pure Weight Loss...and she told me to make sure that I sent it Certified Mail as well. I went right home and filed that claim today, AND also called Care Credit and they are sending me a customer dispute form as well, so I can try to recover money that way. All I have to say is that I have been EXTREMELY annoyed with the way the program has been run especially since the "name change". I felt browbeat to buy products that I outright told them I did not want, nor need and could not afford. I have sunk THOUSANDS of dollars over almost 5 years on the program and I feel like I have been ripped off now. I was considering getting out of the program before this happened, but I was going to "use up" my weeks and LA Lites before I did that...I guess they did it for me...I hope to God I can get some of my money back.. Does anyone know anything about Class Action Suits to be filed? I am in the South FLorida area... thanks! |

I just came from my center here in Virginia and now I have literally a trunkload of stuff! I wasn't going to take any chances of sending away for a refund. The center didn't have enough product of what I wanted; they still owe me over $200, so I hope I can get more products on Monday. I managed to get some supplements, slim downs, strudel, and some type of cookie thing that I've never tried, but I figured that I wasn't walking out empty handed. It's better than taking my chances on getting a refund (sorry if I sound bitter). I really love the program and I wish the company didn't have to close! |

We all need to file a complaint on Pure Weight Loss with the local attorney general AND the Pennsylvania attorney general..it's important to get those complaints in before Jan 1. We want to get the state attorney's offices to freeze any bankruptcy claims from being filed so that we can get what we are owed. I encourage EVERYONE to do this... it's easy to find the websites on google... please do it TODAY..the more of us do this, the more voices will be heard! |

Corporate made the decision for me when they decided to close the company down. I feel terrible for the counselors who put their hearts and souls into helping the clients...but they were under so much pressure to sell sell sell, that the focus shifted from the well being of the clients to making the goals set for them. I feel even worse for those clients losing money..I am one of them, but I can assure you that there are clients that lost way more money than I did.... |

I called in to the Pure Weight Loss customer service line to find out what they were advising those seeking refunds. I posted it and more suggestions on the blog linked to below. The rep was very nice, and had been as shocked as anyone by the sudden closing. Her last day is Jan 4. When she found out I was local, she asked: are you hiring? On the FranchisePick.com blog we're asking people to be nice and take it easy on the employees, who not only lost a diet program but lost their jobs. The timing and way it went down really unfortunate. We're sorry for both the employees and the customers. Feel free to share your input or get the latest info at the links below:

I wish that the Managers of the centers would get together and OPEN their own business. They know how to do it and know the program works, and there is a definite need for it. I went to LAWL because my own health insurance wouldn't pay for DIABETES training! Can you believe it? I got the information I needed (which is to eat every 3-4 hours) from LAWL, not my own doctor. So to all of the former Managers and other employees, counselors, etc. who did the REAL WORK of these 2 programs, please get out there and do it on your own. Seek a business loan, do something! I wish I could because I would (I'm disabled). Turn this tragedy into a triumph! |

I went to my local center early this morning, and found out that they ended up getting a delivery of bars, yesterday,they had the new carmel and the old carmel. I got all but 3 of the boxes that they owed me, I replaced those with some of the products that they had left. I was so excited. Thanks again for the great adivce |

I was a new member, Going into my 3rd week the center lost power no weighing and you had to be there before 5:00 to dark for them to be open. My problem is I don't know what to do if I gain or plateau so I'm really lost with no answers. Any suggestions??? |
