razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
twinzmom1229, Ok, you need to make a decision with regards to the lites...you either use them or you don't. Sorry to be so blunt but that may be why you're stuck on a plateau. If you're planning on using the lites, try switching to the purple plan. Purple:
If you're going to go it without the lites, go to the red no lite plan. Red/No lite
If you decide to do a "no lite" plan for now, you can incorporate 1 lite a day once you get to maintenence. It's up to you. It's just that during the weightloss everything is carefully balanced. If you get too much, you won't lose. But ironically, if you don't get enough, you still won't lose. If you want to "jump start" things you can do a take off. (2 days) 6 oz lean protein
divide this up over the day I usually suggest: Breakfast: 1/2 lite, orange
Let me know if you need any more help! |

I was on the Gold plan about 2 years ago and lost about 20 lbs. I was at a plateau for like 4 months, became discouraged and eventually went off the plan. They also told me that I would stay on the Gold throughout the program. I actually am back up to my starting weight and wanted to get back on the plan. I am 5'7 and weigh 180. My goal is still 150. Could I get some assistance? I do not have any of the products. |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
ttms777, Since you do not have any of the products you will be on the purple plan. But, let's start you off with a Fast Forward. Instead of the juice you will use 4 oranges on each day. Do Fast forward for 2 days. You get:
4 oranges It's ok to use butter, margarine, oil in/on foods. No starch! No pasta, bread, or starchy vegetables like peas or corn. After your 2 Fast Forward days, go on the purple plan 2 protein (2 oz. bigger than gold)
You will be on purple until you reach your goal. |

45 minutes 3 times a week does not require any change. |

Thank you Raz! I'll try the purple plan w/ the lites and go from there. Hopefully I can hit my target within a few months before my lites run out! ;-) What about condiments? Can we have sugar free jello in the cups? Thanks again! |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Yes, twinzmom, you can have the SF jello in the cups. 1 cup = 1 condiment. However, I used to tell people if they were having a craving and were going to go over on something to have an extra condiment in the form of jello |

Razmataz, you are a lifesaver. Will you please let me know at what points I need to drop plans? I started out on Red. I am 5'10" and have 98 pounds to lose. I am now out of Lites. Which plan should I be doing? Thank you soo much for being willing to help! |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
Razmataz, I forgot to note that the Red plan is working, I've lost 25 pounds. But I want to make sure I'm on the right track. Thanks again. |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
When you say you have 98 pounds to lose, do you mean until your goal or until you reach the weight on the chart? It does make a difference. What is your current weight? That will help me be the most exact. |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
Wow -- you're fast! I am 5'10" and 292 pounds. My goal is to be 170 pounds. I also work long hours from about 10-7 |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
I've been exercising for one hour 3 times a week. |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
It looks like I can't add. I have two goals, under 200 to start, but I may want to go to 170. I haven't decided yet (I know that sounds crazy). |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Ok, a little surprised you're not on red 1. But if red is working (as I always say...if it ain't broke, don't fix it) Anyway, you're next drop (from red to purple) is at 206. If you hit any plateaus on the way let me know. Keepup the good work! Oh and I'm not always this fast...I just happened to be online and I have it set so I get an email when someone makes a new entry here. |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
Thanks so much! Is Red 1 the same as Red? Just curious, which do you think they should have put me on? |

Hi, this is going to sound dumb, but I am signed up to receive all new comments in my email, but I don't know how to post a comment or question without simply replying to someone else's comment. So, am I doing it right?

Trisha, I need to know both height and weight to be able to address that. If you want to "jump start" things you can do a take off. (2 days) The change may get your metabolism back up. 6 oz lean protein
divide this up over the day I usually suggest: Breakfast: 1/2 lite, orange
Let me know if you need any more help! |

razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Tammy,
My main question is: Do you still have lites? If you're going to be on gold you need to use 2 each day. If you do not have any switch to purple. I need to know your height to be able to determine whether you will need to change plans or not other than this. As I said, if you do not have lites switch to purple. Purple PLan:

Newsy42, Red 1 uses the same portion sizes but has more servings of some of the exchanges. Like I said before if you're losing at a good rate, I don't think we should change your plan. |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
Ok thank you Raz. I'll keep going without the lites. If I did buy some on eBay, should I just keep doing what I'm doing? What if I hit a plateau? It seems as though the big differences in plans/drops happen for people who weigh a lot less. Ok, I'll shut up now and let other people ask questions. |

Tammy Steward in Fort Worth, Texas 7 months ago |
Sorry I forgot about the height thing. I am 5'9" and I don't have any of the lites, but I have been replacing them with other nutrition bars because I still crave that something sweet in the afternoons and evenings. Therefore, I think I will do better by staying on the gold plan. I am using the Pria bars and the Luna bars which are both very tasty. The Pria bars only have 5 protein and the Luna bars have about 14 protein so I have been trying to balance it out by eating 1 of each per day. |

razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Tammy, At about 150, change to the green plan. Green plan is as follows: 2 protein (same size as gold)
|
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Trisha, At 180 gold with 2 lites would be the appropriate plan. Do you have the book for gold? If not make sure you reduce the protein servings by 2 oz. Are you weighing and measuring everything? Not weighing and measuring is a coomon mistake when a plan is changed. Are you using 2 lites a day? 1 isn't enough. Also, are you getting enough variety? You could go back to purple for another 5 pounds then make the drop. Maybe that will get things moving again. |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 7 months ago |
Newsy42, You will be changing plans to the purple at 255. If you weigh & measure, follow the plan, watch your sodium intake, and make sure to have plenty of variety you should plateau for long. If you have any problems feel free to post and I'll do my best to help. |
|
newsy42 in Charlotte, North Carolina 7 months ago |
OK, so change plans at 255 and not 206? Got it! Thank you :) |

Hi Raz, Yes I was following everything to the T, and the I even tried to go back to the purple plan to shake things up and nothing.....at present I am following weight watchers and then I will switch back and see if that doesn't break the plateau. I have an idea that my hormones were all off which I don't think helps matters...but I sure do appreciate the help and all the support that you give me, thanks so much. I will let you know how I do... |

Hi Raz, my husband and I both lost about 45 lbs each on the plan. But we went away and gained about 16-18 lbs back. I am 5'7 and 157 lbs, and he is 6'3" and 196 lbs. I have been on the gold plan with lites and supplements (Excel, Reduce Plus, etc.) and he has been on the purple plan with lites the entire time. We also usually try to walk about 3 miles each day, but we haven't been as disciplined as before we went away. What plans should we be on to get back down without the lites and without the supplements? Thanks so much in advance!

razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 6 months ago |
Kim, You should be on the purple. And your husband on red. (Red is what I would have put him on before the "Man plan" came out. To be honest the "Man plan" is the only I don't have memorized and the men I counseled who did both the original and the "man plan" all agreed that they lost better on the older plan) Purple:
Red:
Good luck, let me know if you need any more help. |

Thank you! I loved my job and was devoted to my clients. I never would have left if I hadn't had issues with the company. The plan was good, lots of clients succeeded overall, it a shame and I don't want to bash anyone. That doesn't do anyone any good. |

Hi Raz, I have been on the plan in the past and did real well consistently lost about 2 pounds a week. I am 5' 122lbs. I either did purple without lites or green with lites. I workout about 3-4 days a week for an hour approx. Recently I started the plan again doing everything correctly but I am not losing just maintaining. I started using luna bars instead of lites wondering if that is the reason why. The luna bars have 10-20 more calories than the LA lites. I find having the bars makes the diet alot easier.

I am 5' tall an 250 lbs. I just started Fast Start yesterday and I am down 4 1/2 lbs already! After today, what do I do next? Purple? Thank you soooo much for your help! |

jbanana, Great start! You would be on red if you have lites, red1 if yu do not have lites. Red: 2 1/2 protein servings (same size as purple)
Red1 2 1/2 protein
Let me know if you have any more questions. |

I have tried several brands of bars and have finally found one that tastes good and satisfies my craving for sweet . The texture is similar to that of the Lites too.

I bought LA bars off the internet, but I am going to try the pure protein and the Quick Weight Loss from Florida. They look like the LA bars and have the same price point. They also have about 150 cal and 8 grams of protein or so. The internet site is Quickweightloss.net. |

I purchased the variety pack of Quick Weight Loss bars so far I like the 2 I tried (lemon meringe,Cinnamon Raisin), however the consistancy is kind of like a special k bar only with SOY crunchy puffs not a smooth texture like some of the lites.I just want to let everyone know so they are not dissapointed.Everyone at Quick Weight Loss brags about the Chocolate Peanut Dream There is also 15g protein in the bars that are in the variety pack. |

Here is my situation. Iam 32 years old 5 1 and weigh 160 pounds I would like to loose 30lbs. I am willing to start my exersise program back up. It will be 45 mintues of cardio and 45 mintues of weights 6 days a week resting on sundays. What plan do I need. I have lites |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 6 months ago |
Francine, If I'm reading this correctly your doing 9 hours of exercise total per week. 4 1/2 hours cardio and 4 1/2 hours with weights. If I have read this right you will need to do the red plan if you have lites...I think you said you do. So that's
As long as you are exercising this hard you will not have any drops. If your exercise regimine changes or if you run out of lites let me know and I'll tell you what changes to make. Also, to everyone, my laptop officially died. I'm at the mercy of using my room mate's computer and/or the one at either work or the library. So, if I don't respond as quickly as usual try to bear with me. Thanks! |
