I will be doing 45 mintues of cardio M,W,F and 45 mintues of weights Tue TH SAT so I think that comes to 2hours 15 mintues and I think that totals 4 hours 30mintues a week. I will increase when my body gets used to it, but that is something we will talk about later. One my question at what weight would I which plan |

Francine, You would be on the gold plan if you have lites. Gold:
You're exercise amount is very close to where your plan would change. If you're finding that your hungry all the time let me know. I'll try some adjustments. The adjustments might not be exactly one of the colors...this was my specialty when I was working there. If you begin exercising more than 5 hours per week and are consistent about it switch to red plan with 2 lites. Let me know if you have any questions or problems. Raz |

Yes, count each dinner as a protein and a starch on your plan. Also, remember that frozen meals tend to be high in sodium so make sure you're getting enough water...at least 8 glasses, 8 ounces each. If you feel like you're retaining any water from the frozen meals have a mug or two of hot lemon water. |

Tammy, The main question I have for you is do you have lites or a replacement for them? If you do follow the gold plan. If you do not follow purple without the lites. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. |
|
Tammy Steward in Fort Worth, Texas 9 months ago |
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I do use a replacement for the lites. I did go back to the gold plan and so far, I have lost 4 more lbs. Yeah! I love this diet! Thanks so much! |

Hi Raz! It's me again! ;-) I was wondering about the purple plan booklet. Are the portions the same as with other plans with the exception of the protien? Like the restaurant guide? Thanks! |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 9 months ago |
Twinzmom, Yes, the protein is the only portion that changes. Hope this helps! |

I have the red book and have not used this pla in years. Can you tell me which plan I should be on and what the portion sizes are. I am 5.2 and weight 160-- work out maybe 3 hours a week. Thanks |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 8 months ago |
I'm assuming that you do not have lites. Use the red plan until you get to 138. At 138 make the drop to the purple plan. The sizes of portions on purple is the same as red. The difference come in number of portions. Purple:
If you were planning on replacing the lites with another protein bar then begin on the purple plan and add in the 2 bars. Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any further questions. |

Hello Raz francine here. I am on the gold plan as you suggested. I am now 5.1 and 150 pounds so down 10 pounds. my question is this. I am about to change my cardio of 45 mintues of walking to 45 mintues of running.I am making sure that with my weights and cardio I do not go over 5 hours of working out in week. Now would the fact that I am about to start running make my plan change and does my plan change at a certain weight. I have lites. Thanks for all your help |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 8 months ago |
If you stay under the 5 hours of exercise per week you should be fine. However, if your amount of exercise is close and you find yourself feeling hungry let me know and I'll make some adjustments. Congrats on losing the 10 pounds. Keep up the good work! |

Do a take off to "shake things up" a bit. 4 oranges (instead of juice)
The way I divide the day is Breakfast: 1/2 lite, orange

|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 8 months ago |
Almost forgot, after the 2 day take off go back to the gold plan. You can do a take off every other week if you want. You do not make a plan change until 131. |

Anointedone123, The unlimited is 2 days and called Fast Forward. You need to wait a month before you do it again. The limited way I had posted can be done every 2 weeks. Fast forward: 4 oranges
No starch! No pasta or bread. No starchy vegetables like peas. You can feel free to use salad dressing, butter, or oil on your foods or when preparing your foods. Make sure to drink your 64 ounces of water...8, 8 ounce glasses! After you finish the 2 days move to the Red 1 plan if you do not have lites. The red plan if you have lites or another protein bar to replace them. Red 1: 2 1/2 protein
Red: 2 1/2 protein

To be totally honest I don't know much abotu which bars to substitute. My recommendation would be to do the no lite plan if you can. If you really feel you need the bars then when looking you want a bar with at least 8 grams of protein. Besides that you want the calories as low as possible and also want the fat content as low as possible but that 8 grams of protein is important. |

the Pria bars are good, but they are small, or you can try the balance bars |

There are some LA Weightloss that are franchised in the Carolinas and are still in business. They had no idea centers up north closed when I spoke with them. You can buy the products the only issue is shipping cost of course. |

I honestly don't know what I should tell you as far as this. From what I understand there are still some franchise centers open. I do not know whether there is still production of the bars or not. I wish I could tell you something better. But, you will find one thing with me...you will always get the truth even if the truth is saying "I don't know." |

It looks like you could. The bars have 16g of protein? If so use a half twice a day. |

ohhh raz, I need HELP! Ever since the stores closed down I have fallen off the bandwagon! I thought it was just the holidays, but I can't use that excuse anymore. I don't know what's wrong with me. I am so depressed. Everyday I start off really good and then by dinner I totally mess up. I don't know if it is because I get bored with the foods or what. I know you are supposed to add variety, but I am not a cook and therefore am limited on ideas. I don't have a LA cookbook, but I do have some of the recipes and I have tried them, but the recipes always say to limit using them all the time. I really loved the plan when I was on it and it works wonderfully, but I have to admit that I have an obsession with food and not the kind that is good for you. I have gotten to the point that I eat till I make myself miserable b/c it tastes soooo good. I don't want to gain all that weight back but I can't seem to stick with the diet. I wasn't hungry before when I followed the plan, but now I find myself hungry all the time. Do you think I should add 1/2 a protein back or go up a plan? I don't want to do it if it makes me not loose weight, but I don't like being hungry all the time either. I am about 196 lbs, 5'9 and am currently on the gold plan with bars. My goal weight is about 140 or so. |

tammy this is Francine. I know what you are going through. You find yourself waking up thinking about food. You go to bed every night saying tomorrow will be different. You start off morning good. by lunch time it is geting harder and before dinner you give up. You get bad at yourself saying I can not even do a day of eating right. I will never loose the weight. Let me tell you, you can do it. You are not the only one that goes through this. You can do this. If you buy something at the store you should not but it back. Do not use the excuse well I have to take it back where I got it. No, leave it in the section you are in. Take it one hour at a time. You can do this. You and I can and will be the sexy goddesss we were ment to be. You can do it. You can do it.Raz will help with the diet and I can help when you think you can not do it. Come on Tammy do not let me be the only goddess. |

Francine, thanks so much for the encouragement! You are wonderful! I just don't understand why it was so easy when the centers were open and so hard now. I will try again. Thanks! |

Tammy, I can not say it better than Francine. You can do this! Focus on the moment rather than the past. Here's a couple things to try... First move to the purple plan with lites. Purple has the same number of proteins as gold but the serving size is 2 ounces bigger. Purple also has an additional vegetable. For the cravings... Get some of the following:
You can drizzle the chocolate over fresh fruit to jazz it up. Take the Cool Whip and a sheet of graham crackers. Break the sheet of graham crackers in half then put a tablespoon of the Cool Whip in between. Put in freezer until frozen...a great "ice cream" sandwich counts as 1 starch/1 condiment. As far as not liking to cook...this takes a small investment but just may help. Buy a Food Saver vaccuum sealer. Also buy a bunch of reusable plastic divided plates. Then each time you do cook make extra...it isn't any harder to cook 3 portions than to cook 1. Then put the "left overs" on the plates. Place in vaccuum bag and seal. Next label. I even put the exchanges on the label to make it really easy on the days you use them. Then you have your own frozen meals that can simply be zapped and eaten. The beauty of this is that it does not have all the sodium that the frozen meals you buy have. And the flavors are exactly the way YOU like them. Another way to help with variety is to move your meals around. There are 2 reasons I talk about variety. First,I don't want you to get bored. Boredom almost always leads to going off plan. The second reason is the metabolism works harder when your body can't predict what you're going to give it. So move meals around. Have breakfast for dinner! And, remember to use us in this forum as support. The reason it was easier in the center was the support. But remember we are here for you! You can do this! |

Raz, thanks for all you do! I know I just need to find my motivation again. I'm glad you guys are here to help. I tried to get my husband to help me and keep me on track, but he gives in too easy and lets me have whatever I want. Men! I thought they were supposed to be the strong ones. LOL. |

I started LA weight loss in Jan of this year, I have hit a plateau over a month now and I am starting to feel like I am losing the battle. I am on the purple plan w/o lites, currently I am 122 lbs, 5'1", 38 years old & would like to lose another 7 lbs, I work out MWF (35 min circuit training) T&T (40 min machines) and S (45 min ballercise)& pilates/yoga twice a week (45 min each). Do I need to modify my plan? Thank you so much for your help in advance |
|
razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 8 months ago |
If I'm reading this right your doing a total of 5 hours 20 minutes of exercise per week. If this is the case the plateau is likely the result of you not getting enough food. Move to the Red plan without lites. Red: 2 1/2 protein
If you do not start to lose again after a week post again but this time give me 3 days from you food diary. Hope this helps! |

You are awesome Raz. I have been telling my counselors the same thing, but they keep telling me to be patient. Will keep you posted. Thank you. |

razmataz in West Chester, Pennsylvania 8 months ago |
Candice, Thanks for the cudos! Anyway, the magic number I was taught was 5 hours...anything more equals more food. And I've found for some people the change needs to be made even earlier. |
